Unclear on how to play because everybody teaches different and the thing is nobody knows how to teach. Agreed. Everyone takes it so seriously you cant even have fun, even if they arent playing for money. Also any time Ive asked someone how to play all I get is "OMG YOU DONT KNOW HOW TO PLAY SPADES HOW DONT YOU KNOW HOW TO PLAY?!" but nobody takes the time to teach anything, I learned from watching this channel. Trash.

Little known fact, playing hearts on your computer gives you a decent foundation. It's just that hearts are the trump card rather than spades. Spades is absolutely fun. There is no greater joy than being able to talk trash & clown your competition.

Everything Tahir said! #facts I got set up. My "friends" taught me the bare basics of the game. We played with some people down the street. Apparently i cut my partner. I didn't know what that meant. Everyone got upset. I haven't played since. All i was told, "Throw your highest card in the suit presented. If you don't have the suit, throw a spade." I did what i was told. They didn't say, if your partner has a high card already, throw lower.
