The problem is everyone hair is not the same and doesn't react the same to all these products. Garnier silicone free shampoo and conditioner works for me I have no need to deep condition. I don't use leave ins either. If I have to use a gel on soaking wet hair I refuse to purchase. The Curls 5.99 gel works alone just fine for me. When you know what works it becomes so much easier. I don't use clay or rice water and all of that. Hair been flourishing and thicker ever since I started paying attention to my thin 4b-4c hair. Wash and gos only over here. Twists and braids ain't for me.

hi myeisha 🤗 this is a great video ... keeping it real with every question * not shampooing hair - i definitely prefer shampoo over cowash, but recently started using a cowash as a prepoo to soften tangles * excessive product stash - i spend my money however i want ... periodt * using different products - i try products from every category for every hair type * protective styling promotes hair growth - i can't keep a regular style for 3 days, let alone a protective style for weeks and months * no oils or butters - i usually make my own. i may not use use them a lot, but i do use them. like you said, many products already include oils and butters * mandatory pre-poo - i used to do this waaaaay back before it had a name. i recently started again, but don't believe its necessary and certainly not mandatory * hair growth products - i dont believe in miracle products that grow your hair to the floor overnight. i agree with overall health regimens inside and out. i like ayurvedic ingredients and products (i mostly make my own) thanks for sharing

For some reason not shampooing is making its rounds through the natural hair community. I’m a product junkie and I’m not ashamed. How I spend or why is nobody’s business. I definitely don’t believe in hair growth products and protective styling is not the only way to grow hair. Even though I prepoo most wash days it’s not necessary.
@marvinandjosh12 жыл бұрын
I agree with not using shampoo. I think that’s the worse advice these KZbinrs have been giving. Yes, some are more stripping than others but find one that works for you. There are some gentle shampoos out there, find one. As far as protective styling, I do knotless braids but I don’t do them back to back. I get them about twice a year. The rest of the time, my hair is free.
@ConversationsWithAScorpio2 жыл бұрын

Thank you for sharing. I agree with struggling to keep moisture in Arizona. I don't use oils on my hair just on my scalp. A good botanical gel works well for me in the summertime. I also use my hair steamer more in the summer. I also have been using ayurvedic treatments and that has helped a lot with the shedding. I also have started using MSM flakes in my collagen. My plan is to take it for 3 months to see if it helps with hair growth. Honestly I can tell my hair is thicker already. MSM lengthens the growth phase and shortens the shedding phase. That's probably the only miracle supplement that works. The drawback is a you will grow hair everywhere so I constantly have to shave my legs and wax my lip. I actually do like to pre-poo it helps me a lot with tangling and knots. I will keep your posted on the MSM at the end of June. I haven't had my hair braided in years. All I can think about it my edges. 😬
@ConversationsWithAScorpio2 жыл бұрын
Definitely keep me posted on the MSM. I like to prepoo my hair for the most part but it’s not always necessary. I tried the Camille rose curl maker and it had my hair feeling so soft and moisturized. Oils are a lifesaver for me.
