It’s brought up because it wasn’t racism that killed him…. It was an overzealous asshole cop in general (that happened to be white) and the fact he had shit in his system at the time which made the situation that much more dangerous. He wasn’t the first to be knelt on or the first to die….. there have been white men mexican women and kids who have been knelt on the neck. The more conservative leaning auditors have been exposing this for years before that man died. They were and still get called trouble makers for exposing the police and the fact that race is realistically not the cause. It’s a general issue because cops in general have been trained to oppress citizens. They’ve assaulted and broken the shoulders of old white women and vets who stood in situations and spoke up about other peoples rights getting stomped on. Bringing race into the issue at all is actually tone deaf to the reality of the entire situation.

No, it really is illegal. It’s sort of a gray area though, if you have a small amount on you, less than five grams if i remember correctly but I could be wrong, they usually won’t criminally charge you for it, especially for the first time. That’s why there’s a “tolerance” for it. They have their own policy but I forgot the name of it.

If her parents wanted her singing and acting and performing they should’ve trained her and put her in lessons at a super young age cause they could definitely afford the best teachers and coaches. Genuine question, are the Grammys about the skill/creativity demonstrated in the music or is it strictly about sales/streams? I always thought the Grammys was distinct from things like the Billboard Awards because it is not about about numbers/popularity but rather about the art...Ima have to go their website or something because people get upset when a lesser known artist wins a Grammy but I don't think the Grammys was meant to be about popularity.

Most of the times the Grammys go out of their way to not award the most popular work. But it's not always consistent. I'd probably say it's politics and an elite game at the end of the day. Like if kendrick or jayz drops any year they are winning all the hip hop awards... although you can argue they are always the best when they drop but that's what I mean by elite. That being said even if kendrick wins a Nobel Peace prize they would never give him a major award like album of the year cause he's black. So that's the politics. I don't think they would award sexy red tho just because she don't be rubbing shoulders with the elites like Megan was with the likes of jayz and beyonce when she won her grammy.
