@@turquoisemoon3654 armatization is the only good part of zestiria's battle system. Idk but zestirias battle system feels like ur hitting a huge block of jello.

@@trollzor85 Fighting games feel like punching rice paper. Zestiria is NOT a fighting game... so if you're used to punching rice paper, it will be a problem. ^_^

Luphonix Well I guess Tales of Berseria because it's what made me find out about the Tales of series,um I guess in the back of my mind my favorite character is Magilou since I had a dream were I sorta married her.

Sorey is an clean cut imagine as Asbell. My favorite character of each tales series has to be strict/comedy which my favorite character is Malik from Tales of Grace's f. Zavied is hilarious stupid at times in both games.

Richard L Zavied is seriously the MVP for both of those games. I really love his character too! Especially with his expanded backstory in Berseria. I'd love to see him have a larger role/his own game down the line.

That's why Zaveid is gonna be a classic... his victory quotes send me rolling on the floor... like it's so funny how a mucho-muscle guy lets himself be embarrassed by petite types like Rose and Edna! Zaveid: "Hey babes, so what's YOUR type of guy?" Rose: "The type who doesn't even ask that!" Edna: "Or say 'hey babes' either." Or when he tells Sorey in that "peeping tom" sauna skit that he wants to have a "naked relationship with Sorey...as an accomplice." ^_^

Thanks for sharing your personal opinions on this beloved franchise. I can say it seems like almost every fandom starts to regress at some point. That being said, we must stick by our personal and non threatening viewpoints, as discourse is par for the course.

I got like halfway through tales of zestiria and I like the overall story it’s just the battle system and the camera control that ruined it for me I couldn’t stand it 😂

It does just kind of... end. Like, the only thing they stopped was Gaius's plan of destroying the other world. The energy crisis was still very much a thing. Compare the end to the one Vesperia has. They have roughly the same storyline, but Vesperia has a far more definitive end to it.

@@almightycinder hum. not a story expert since a consider tales of storytelling to be very lackluster. still i never considered xiillia and vesperia stories as similar. sure, there are some similar themes and tropes but the overall "feel" i get from each game was very different. but they both kind of end, i agree on that, but both are very unsatisfying and open ended, not giving enough answers and closure and the characters arks and growth is not fully realized at that point. with that said nothing of this proves or disproves that xillia sequel was there from the beginning of the game´s conception. and does 2 add anything relevant storywise to the og?

My TOP 5 unpopular opinions: 1. We NEED a Zestiria sequel, with backstories on Sorey, Mikleo, Heldalf, Michael (Mikleo's uncle), Gramps and Lailah... (Lailah especially and her real relationship with Michael if any...) 2. Zestiria the animation season 3? (good rank in MyAnimeList... higher than most anime and best art ever!) 3. Berseria animation (a sequel would be impossible... it's more like a dead end... too sad.) 4. More Jude x Milla... I want them to end together... at least even in some parallel universe. ^_^ (yeah I suck) 5. A new Phantasia edition (new story, with new music together with the classic one) JUST A WISH FOR MY B-DAY: Zestiria fans coming back to the Tales community... (I think the heavens would have to fall first... some were so hurt they just left... or are planning to leave)... It feels lonely without you guys... ^_^

Yeah we do need a third game for the zestiria/ beeseria universe. There is much depth to the lore that needs further exploration. I would also like a more refined remake for zestiria with better storytelling for Rose/Lunarre/ Dezel parts, better build-up for Edna's side quest, and more Earthen historia. These changes would make the game perfect. (Also, I need more Sorey XD)

From my, admittedly limited, experience with ToS:Dawn, it's good by JRPG standards. That's the problem though, I don't compare to Tales games when judging standard JRPGs because it isn't fair. For example, out of all the Final Fantasy titles (including those effectively FF) I've played, only two (FF4 and FFTA) can, in my opinion, be compared to the Tales standard. The Tales studio set their own bar back when they planted a flag ahead of the pack with Phantasia and have hit that mark far more often than most studios make known games. Dawn is a good to very good JRPG and, for a Tales game, that's bad enough for me.

I'm sorry, but your point about Jade is complete bullshit. No one just likes jade because he's a "Tsundere". He's a military man who runs almost entirely on logic, and does whatever needs to be done, even if he has to sacrifice his "Pride". He has allot of sociopathic tendencies, and he's made allot of mistakes, but he defiantly has a moral compass. That is why Jade is so popular, he's so different from your standard goody goody two shoes tales character.

Tales of Eternia has the worst intro song Tales of Legendia isn't that bad Tales of Innocence is better than Tales of Innocence R Colette is kinda irritating Klarth is useless by the time you get everybody Guy,Anise,Jade and Tear is the best party Max and Chat are only useless because the game favors the craymel system and would be useful in any other game Tales of Destiny has the best looking art Tales of the Temptest has the best opening song Tales of Rebirth has the best looking graphics Emil is the most fun to use protagonist

My unpopular opinion....wait for it.......Tales of Vesperia was disappointing. Fight me. More precisely, this game has been hyped up to me for years as one of the best if not the best tales game and I never owned a X360 to play it and avoided most story bits of the game throughout the years. So I played it years later with the HD re-release on Switch and...it was okay I guess, just really not what everyone made it out to be. Yuri was a boring protagonist for all but a few moments of short scenes, the story was just all over the place and inconsistently jumped from one theme to another and the parts that I enjoyed just got swept under the rug literal minutes later. But it had a playable dog so that makes up for it. I'd still be happy with a Repede crossover for my palamute in Monster Hunter Rise.

I AGREE ALL THE WAY! I can't see anything in it that makes me wanna scream as much as the Vespy fans who are obsessing with it like crazy dogs in heat. Their "I'm having an erect" while playing Vespy shout out is just ugh...!

The story in Vesperia is poorly paced, some of the characters are annoying, nothing was happening a lot of the time and it just got dry and tedious after a while. Compare that to Symphonia, sure it starts off with a generic plot but once you get to the second half of the game, the story really picks up. Abyss also has a story with a lot of stuff going on to keep things interesting. In Vesperia I never felt the story ever got interesting enough for me to care.

@@CynicalGamingBlogTerry309 I said that in another comment site and I was shot down like hell... Vesperia fans cannot tolerate any disagreement as to their "perfect" Tales game. They say you can't be a "true" Tales fans if you don't have it in top 1... kkk... Symphonia, Xillia and Phantasia in my top 5 along with Zestiria n Berseria. But yeah I find this comment site to be one of the best. I found out two days ago i wasn't a "true" Tales fan... like people asking me to get out because Zestiria is garbage and I'm the last Zesty fan in the universe, and I'm the biggest idiot in the Tales fandom... like if I don't want Sorey to be hated more, I should just shut up and fuck myself... kkk... my friend already quit 2 months ago after being called "autistic" by Zesty bashers. It's depressing...
