That’s a lot of high precision work! I know how hard it is to cut aluminium on a scroll, that’s amazing work. Cheers Dave

Into the jar - don’t lose those small pieces! I can’t count the number of times I have dropped a small screw or other piece on my floor. Another benefit to keeping the shop clean. Thank you for sharing why you selected the specific scroll saw. I like the new inlay design. Watching the process for cutting was very helpful! And… I definitely see that patience is a virtue.

Glad you keep the videos REAL !! Everyone makes mistakes !! It's all in how you deal with those mistakes that separates a professional from the amateurs !! *QUESTION* ... (I'm sure you'll show the answer to this later , but...) When you are setting the inlays into the feet board , will you be filling the routed out areas for the inlays with the orange epoxy first , then pushing the inlay pieces into the epoxy?? I would think that would help in preventing the "tiny gaps" you were speaking of in this video . Great episode by the way !!! Thanks for all you do , Daniel !!

Love the transparency and the more slow paced, and relaxed nature of this content man! As a fellow luthier I've followed your channel a while and i really enjoy the relaxed approach. Also in regards to showing mistakes, the Japanese of "Kintsugi" comes to mind! Ie: There is a beauty and an artform in making our mistakes and imperfections beautiful and the lessons that come with it.

Super grateful for you showing the whole process here as I embark on my first fretboard inlay that's not standard dots. I'm going easy mode with an epoxy fill so I'm super excited to see the "negative" part of the inlays (next video?). These are going to be stunning once they're done!

I found this really interesting mate! Its a bummer about the slightly oversized inlays, but you can always put them aside for another build that doesnt have binding. And just think about what good practice it was. All of which is easy for me to say, I know.

Hi Daniel! Of course, the oversized inlay would fit fine on an unbound fingerboard, so perhaps it becomes an opportunity to have your version of PRS Birds across your range...!? I think the Phoenix brand is really exciting. As another thought, I can't be the only player who seriously appreciates the back of the guitar? It is a bit that is mine to see and I don't have to share with anyone. I have one guitar in particular where the back is clearly the most beautiful bit of wood in my collection. So for me, an extra inlay on the back of the guitar body would be wonderful...perhaps it can somehow weave in amongst the neck bolts? Either way, I think it is actually a fortunate event that leads to new opportunities 😊

A laser would be perfect for acrylic or wood inlays, I do lots of inlays that way. The tolerance with the laser is 10th mm

This is the video I need. I've got the same machine tucked away somewhere. If it all goes wrong on the #jurgscup2 build I'll say it's your fault 😂😂

Hi, I think you could liquify the acrylic with Acetone and you could fill the gaps…

I'm sure we all feel for you regarding the first set of inlays. Could you use them in a custom guitar stand.or guitar hanger? They are too good not to use.

Hi Daniel, do you think you can cut MOP inlays with the proxon or will it be too aggressive?
