The most painful thing apart from the betrayal is the lies 😢 i hate lies, tell me the true no matter how bitter it is, lies destroy relationships what happen to being honest and truthful when you know you've wronged accept your mistakes clear yourself by telling the truth let your spouse hear the truth from you not from another person, apologize and never go back to your bad ways but lying,manipulation and gaslighting won't help. It will only damage the situation more.
