Thank you so much for this video. I was banging my head against the wall because I have hit reactions that only show above the waist, but also a dodge roll somersault. I couldn't have it where I could have the hit reaction show while being hit, while also do a somersault because the roll would stop at the 5th frame due the blending I had. I had no idea you could blend this way. Appreciate the help!

Nvm Got It To Work, Used Play Montage (Gray One, Not Blue) And Gave It The Skeletal Mesh Of The Character That Needs To Play The Animation, Then It Just Played The Animation At Button Click, Easy!

When I try to import the animations in UE5 using either modern or old it tells me: mesh contains root bone as root but animation doesn't contain the root track. import failed. :/

Hi could you explain the need for an anim montage cause that blendiing per bone can be done directly with the animations too without the need for a montage

Hey Raza, I don't know if you still are wondering why, but I was also trying to understand the necessity of montages and slots, and then, I think I finally figured how this works in steps: 1 - When you add the blend per bone, you actually split the animation in 2 on the bone you selected. The blending is always on, so you feed the same cached pose through the slot node that does exactly nothing, so you blend the cached pose with itself. 2 - When you call the play anim montage from the blueprint, the slot node that is associated with that animation montage stops the cached pose that was passing through it, and instead, starts to send the animation on the montage that has this slot to the blending. 3 - When the animation finishes the slot node returns to continue sending the cached pose, so it returns to blend with itself I've watched some videos, all of them show how to do it, but all of them failed to explain why. Hope this helps you or whoever reads this later

Hi there! everything works as intended, however I am a bit conflicted because for whatever reason my animation stops sooner than it should, it stops like after a second and I am not entirely sure why.
