Yeah, having a hard time getting this to work, not sure what im missing exactly... Do i set the players health to the begin play or??? EDIT so I hooked up the Call update health to a seq thats connected to begin play along with player health I also! Added this to a component vs character so now I can adjust each character by them selves with same reusable code and it works absolutely beautiful

This is very cool and easy to follow! But when I do the last step i get a compiler error. Something wrong with the Binding Property. It says that the binding is 'none' and it cannot find that on the HealthbarHUD. I've triple checked all nodes and connections and i cannot find what's off. I guess this video is pretty old? But I still wonder if you or anyone could help me.. EDIT: think it was the refresh on the nodes which i thought it really had done automatically. refreshed them after all and it worked. thank you for this tutorial! Edit: it was not that. I restart and it works. After a while i simply get a compiler error out of nowhere. No clue why.

I was having issues with the healh bar not updating. The issue was "get me character" doesn't cast to my characters object. If you're HUD doesn't update ttry get "pawn" or "controller£ and see if those work. Also add lots of print strings too see what's not firing.

Years later this tutorial still more relevant than ever. I still have yet to see a tutorial on updating a healthbar WITHOUT the use of Binding.

I have followed this 3x over now but once i have the added the Updatehealth event dispatcher this breaks and i can no longer change the healthbar level with my key presses. Any ideas? I am using UnReal 4.24

Quick question, I followed your Stamina Bar tutorial before this one, and after I was done with the Blueprints, the HP bar was fine, but the Stamina bar no longer moved nor had progress, so I believe I can sacrifice the 'performance' if this means both bars will be functional? P.S.: Silly question, I know, but I'm just starting to learn Unreal, sorry to bother and thank you in advance! P.P.S.: Nice going, bro! Here, have a sub! Edit: Nevermind, I got both working, lmao.

make sure everything is exactly the same as shown in the video. the slightest misconstruction can destroy everything!
