I just want to add to anyone trying to make a circle with splines. you only need four points in each ''corner'' then drag the tangents (the two curvature adjusters on the point) straight as a whistle until they intersect each other making a cube around a circle path

In order not to take so many keyframes, you can press plus on the camera and then press lookat tracking settings - lookat - enable look at tracking.

If you want to create a perfect circle camera rotation around the character, I think, the easiest way is to create a null in the center of character, locate camera on some distance from the character and link the camera to null. And you can create animation like this just rotating and change the position of null. I mean same way as in this tutorial: kzbin.info/www/bejne/aGq0fmCBrpyHirM

Hey man. So i can't add new splines like you showed at 1:10 because holding left alt and left mouse just rotates the camera around an arbitrary point and doesn't affect the actual rail as you're showing. What's up with that?

4:26 when I parent camera to rail and press render, camera parenting is automatically separate with rail, which camera won't following rail :(

Look At Rotation. Select it in the 'Details" panel, wen you have the CineCam selected and make sure you key it to the Sequence track. You can set small adjustments from there with the "offsets" panel in the details >> under Look At Settings..

Loved this one. Could you explain a little more the benefit of the rail vs. free animating the camera. I've always just done the camera on it's own. Is it simply being able to see the path better?

ok! figured it out!! SO!! If you want to make a render you have to make a camera and parent the rail BEFORE you open the sequencer. Strange but it wont work otherwise. just turn off the sequencer. attach the camera. then get the sequencer back and drag your camera in there. This took a while to figure out.

Dear Jae, how can I make a camera focus on a specific object in unreal - while the camera itself is moving ? In blender - the camera can be made to track to items just by specifying them and it will be locked on that object regardless of its own position.

Hey Mr. J. Having real trouble with 4.27 and rendering crashes, so after 3 months gonna try UE5 again. The thing is, no matter where I ask, nobody has a set of MRQ settings for it. Just watched the Aaron Simms Unreal 'The Eye video' where they said they had help with Epic with theirs, but No DETAIL. So, I'm just askin, do you know where? You can count this as my one and only ask lol, cause at the moment, the format drives option is in my head every 5 minutes. I've managed to walk away now for a few weeks but it's seriously getting me. I will happily buy the course if it's in there.

man thats tough rendering crashes can be a million different things. 4.27 is alot stable than 5 i can tell you that. also specs would help

I have a question that noone have answered yet. Is it possible to combine cameras shots from different levels/maps in a one master sequence ? I mean lets say we have 2 maps imported in a project... the first a cyberpunk map, the second a medieval map... I take shots from each map, but I cannot combine them in a one sequencer. Every time I drop the camera shots in a master sequence it retains their attributes but it project the image of the current level/viewport and not the one from the map it was created... is there any way to make a video with various shots from various map inside unreal engine project ?

nah maybe if they are on same level and your using bp to switch them since u can have multiple levels in one map. Prolly a headache though better cutting in post

Yes you can do that! You need to have both levels loaded. Next to the Details panel open the levels panel and add existing. There can be issues with this though. You need to warm the shots up prior to rendering. I've had some headaches with this and in the end I rather render out shots and assemble in Resolve, but it is possible to do it in the engine if you need to and are willing to fiddle around with it.
