good video but bit of a disagreement with the modelling technique, if you model with boxes like that you're getting a lot of coplanar faces which could result in rendering errors down the line

You might wanna check lumen scene visualizer because the GI might not be working properly with the way you set up your scene. Lumen works only with modular meshes as per their wiki.
@VRDivision3 жыл бұрын
That's a great tip, thanks sir!
@adamplechaty3 жыл бұрын
@@VRDivision no prob. Feel free to investigate it yourself. Ive found out that L shaped walls are OK while U shaped or closed walls (basically a room) merged together result in black GI in the visualizer. That basically means that Lumen isnt bouncing like AFAIK. But perhaps a video with your explanation would be cool.
@VRDivision3 жыл бұрын
@@adamplechaty that's right, I have the habit of detaching my meshes to form | shapes (straight walls) since i used to bake all my projects, when lumen came out I thought we don't need to do this anymore but we still do, a video about it would be great, thank you Adam!

Jestin my man, That's a great question, there are ways we can do this to sketchup models directly in Unreal Engine with the new modeling and uv tools, and there is also the possibility to create material functions, I'm working on a tutorial in both methods, should be out in part 2 of the video ;)
@jestinjoy26263 жыл бұрын
@@VRDivision yes, waiting for that👍. Also, i understand lumen works best when we have good large openings for the projects, so we can maximum utilise the indirect lighting. So, in a future tutorial, can u also tell about lighting using spotlights/pointlights

thank you friend for recommending the PureRef program. But it is terribly inconvenient in it functions - the program does not have a banal simple necessary function that has been in any photo editor since 1990!!!)))). This enlarges the image inside the photo, as we do if we just open the photo and enlarge the photo with the mouse wheel. For example, we placed a photo on a board, and in the photo we only need a vase or chair and we need to bring the vase or chair in the photo closer and leave it that way. But damn it in PureRef, we can only enlarge the entire image. And this nafig is not needed. Funny))))))
