I understand that Return to Na Pali is not as good as Unreal 1 but i still do like it more better than Unreal 2 because it kept the wonderful animation feel and not too different to the original Unreal. Another thing i notice is how the expansion game does have a log at the end of each level with some of them saying something about that level which can be a bit annoying and even though the new guns are not as good as the original ones at least the developers thought about adding new guns and enemy's besides just the levels.

It's hard to call this game "ugly" when there is just so much color a richness to everything else. Many argue the polygonal graphics haven't aged well, which I agree some textures haven't, but even old graphics like these still have such a certain charm to them, it's hard NOT to like them. I never grew up with this game and even after all these years, playing it still impressed me.

Great video! To be fair the dispersion pistol was mainly for opening all the boxes, crates, and vases you find without wasting your good ammo. Sucky weapon but it's more utilitarian

This was truly super enjoying! Thank you for this video! I also disliked Unreal Return To NaPali for exactly the same reasons. The weaponry wasn’t really creative and all the new weapons functionality were already covered by the original arsenal. The only thing which was super cool was that the grenade launcher shot the grenades under water like torpedos. keep up the good work!

You don't say :D Very good video, I agree with almost everything, especially that the Return to Na Pali weapons are dogshit and ruin the entire game. One thing I disagree with is that the Automag is made obsolete by the minigun. The Automag does twice as much damage per shot, so it is more ammo-efficient. I often used it to kill Krall or other low-level threats.

About the bots in Unreal, I remember downloading bot mods for Quake and playing those. They were amazing at the time, a few that I loved actually did feel like playing against real humans. I think that the people who wrote those bots may have ended up working on Unreal for Epic.
