That is so cool but I think a slower movement animation would be better. The combat is good, but it feels like Valhalla or wo-long with sekiro animation. It's like the swing feel very fast. The finish blow is very satisfying. It's amazing how you managed to do this! I'm looking forward to it 😁

thank you for the suggestion and yep, i'm with you, got same feeling, it's still a lot area need to look at and making improvement 1. Animation -- I'm using GhostSamurai bundle from UE market , I planned to make further editing , to give slow in , fast out animation, so that will matches Souls game fighting style 2 Deathblow and Combat -- I will add more camera control over death blow , and in different fighting stage, hope it can improve combat quality further 3. System --- I'm using GAS system to manage all ability / effect / cue , so it links all part of the game, and make it more manageable

Nice job! The game feel looks pretty nice on it. One interesting bit: as someone who's been into martial arts for a while, I was kind of weirded out by the "yyyaaaghh" by the character because we normally either exhale in most modern martial arts/some like tae kwon do, or there's a specific word we choose to exhale (in karate e.g.), so it might sound silly, but for someone that actually fights, having the shouts sound different each time is a bit weird hahaha. Probably not important, it only needs to look like he's fighting, not be the real thing, but it's a silly bit of trivia I felt like sharing

hi, thx for the advice, I never thinking or noticed regarding combat sound at this point, when i add combat sound, I was just try to use some male voice with some variety sound to notify the player there are action performing or coming from enemy. by testing, I agree more consistant sound feel much better I will put it in my todo list, and experiment with more sound when i come to polish this area.

The feel of the parry is on point man. You're awesome! Are you planning on selling the Combat System?
@Foxcoder10 ай бұрын
thx, and I don't get anything planned yet, I just keep developing the game as far as I can go, I will possible sell the whole game as one action game project template, which including combat and most of features you can find in Sekiro. but it's still got long way to go.

Nice, would be cool if the deathblow is slower and have cinematic camera effects

thx for the idea, and it's in my todo list, I will put more work in camera control

Great! A bit more hit lag on the collisions and a walking SFX (very crunchy boots + steel armor trembling) would be very cool.
@Foxcoder11 ай бұрын
thank you , yes, the collision lag is a great idea, 0.1s pause only on upper arm bones on hit will give big different for the player, i'm thinking about it now. maybe a quick slow motion in critically hit will make it even better, i will add step sfx back when got chance, but i'm planning player's career start with low level shinobi, no budget for metal armor, but still will have quieter step sound to be avoid noticed

@Foxcoder6 ай бұрын
yeah, it was still my early prototype stage, I reuse the same animation to player and pc, so it felt mirrored, once I fill in more content to the game, hope it will not feel the repeat pattern any more.

there's some really nice stuff happening here. if I could offer constructive criticism it would be to tune your locomotion specific animations a bit more. there's a bit of movement specifically when turning while running or dashing that feels a bit too smooth. otherwise this is a really great recreation of some of Sekiro's systems and mechanics.
@Foxcoder11 ай бұрын
thank you, yep the locomotion still need look at further, and in the demo, switch between anim state not sync in correct location, so some cross leg happens, i will definitely look it further, thank you for the criticism
