The Skaarj escape ship has broken free from the planets gravitational pull. . . .barely. Yet its fuel has been depleted & you drift aimlessly. From where many have died, you have escaped. You laugh to yourself; so much has happened; but little has changed. Before the crash landing, you were trapped in a cramped cell. Now, once again you are confined in a prison. But, you feel confident that someone will come to your small vessel. . . eventually. Until then, you drift & hope. TO BE CONTINUED...

Yes. Besides, that's the frustrating moment when some goddamned people show up - because you were drifting in outer space - and then order you to go back to planet Na Pali so you can possibly die.

@@thalysonteixeira9836 thats in the sequel but for the first time the ending feels so desperate like she went through (i played with a woman) hell and fought against the army of high tech predator class aliens only to stuck in the escape pod

I just love how similar it sounds to UT99 intro, which mainly uses the same instruments and similar melody, but has a very different tone.

Maria Isabella plus their original idea was that after the pod went to space you would be capture and sent back down. The expansion was originaly part of the main game

Iury Cabeleira No, the game was always supposed to end with the player escaping Na Pali, though there was an early idea where the player would fly to the skaarj planet at the end of the game, serving as a teaser for Unreal 2

Indeed. That music, plus that moment when you are escaping from Na Pali in that little Skaarj vessel, it was fantastic :D. And yeah. The more I played the expansion, the more I felt that it was missing "something" (not to mention, that the sky box in the Nail village is broken) :(. Perhaps if it had more intense moments, like the one where you are fighting against marines.

Honestly it was much better what Unreal 2 ever was, thats why I call RTNP a sequel not expansion, Unreal 2 doesnt even have anything related to the series except for "Skaarjs"

Szmergiel747 i think Lizard meant Unreal 2 actually, not RTNP.(which in fact is a sequel, not an expansion) Expansion was not was as much bigger, and, for some, enjoyable as original game, but nowhere near as “sucked”. Unreal 2 on the other hand.......
