i remember this so well....turns out xan on godlike is way easier to beat than on adept, given he regularely kills himself with his crazy evasionjumps. that said, with exception on the first three difficulties i only won by outrunning the clock

The thing about Xan is he spends the whole match collecting gear, and then he goes around and picks it all up again right when it respawns because he knows the gear respawns perfectly. If you're dicking around and he gets geared up, then he'll melt you over and over again. You gotta get geared up before he does, and keep putting him down before he has a chance to get gear. Like a couple of decades after I realized this, I saw a professional e-sports Unreal Tournament match, and the players were playing just like Xan. They would spend most of the match getting geared up and knowing the item respawns perfectly so they arrived right when an item respawned. They would clash with each other, and then when someone died or got low health, they would try to flee from the situation and get their health and gear back.
