This is a true Tarja song. Floor does a great job on this track but Tarja is special in this song.

I've seen Floor do two wonderful versions (Tampere and Masters Of Rock, I think) of Sleeping Sun, but for me this performance with Tarja is my all time favourite. She looks stunningly beautiful in that white dress and sings it so majestically. Love Tarja on this one ❤

That last word is "kiitos" and it means "thanks" . They are in Helsinki. This is the best live there is for this song - you can feel the atmosphere too.

Greetings from Canada. There is much to unpack but I'll be brief. Tarja is 1.64M(5'4') Floor Jansen is 1.8M(6'.0). She is also several years older than Tarja. Now the song is beautiful as is Tarja (28 at the time) in that gown. As evidenced by the look on Tumomas' face sparking rumours which I'll skip. Now the song was a request from the Finnish government through an arms length agency to have them write a 4 minute song for the 1999 Solar Eclipse. They did not want to and refused at 1st. But they were talked into it after all. There is a video for it from 99 with Tarja walking through the Finnish country side in a geourgeous red gown and short shoulder length red hair. Eaten alive by mosqiitoes. But the song Thoumas wrote was 7 minutes. 😉. In 2005 the then band members created a new video with this version of Sleeping Sun with a slowed tempo. Tara in this exquisite gown and the boys in the aftermath and flash back to a battle from the middle ages with knigts in armour and horses etc. An epic video for an epic song. Almost a command performance. Her vocal technique had improved between 99 and 05 as she had gone on to a music acedemy in Germany. Years of speaking and singing in English helped as well. English is basicly Finland's 2nd language. The Kiitos to the Finnish crowd (11, 500 strong) October 21, 2005. Hartwell Arena in Helsinki Finland) is thank you on occasion of their final date of the world tour For ONCE upon a dream. Celebrated their 5th album ONCE. Good manners are very important to the Fins. Now speaking of epic songs from this concert Ghost Love Score fits the bill. Another song to hit you in the feels. Thank you for the reaction. PS Tarja is releasing her best of album celebrating 5 albums and 15 years of solo work. Many great choices there as well to hear more from the Queen and a wide variety of styles. Enjoy your journey.

Hi, I'm your new subscriber. :) Can I recommend you one band I love? It's japanese Visual Kei rock/metal band (Visual Kei is japanese movement) The Gazette. They have many different songs, most reactors reacting to their heaviest stuff, since 2015 they started playing heavier music than before (they formed in 2002), but I'm listen to them many years and I really love their older stuff. Please, if you can, react to their song "バレッタ" (Baretta) live performance from 2014, if you typing "the gazette バレッタ live eng subs" you will find this performance with great english translation of lyrics (song is in japanese), their lyrics are always amazing, it's important to know what about song is, especially songs like this one where instrumentally it sounds even kinda happy, but lyrics are deep and sad, I love such mix, because that happy sound of melody makes songs even sadder end deeper, I hope you understant what I mean, it's hard to explain... So, if you can and if you want, please react to this song, I will be very happy. :)
