These interruptions come before sections that use note progressions from songs associated with those images. The Flintstones theme can briefly be heard, as can songs like Snow Halation, Darude Sandstorm, Bad Apple, and All Star (which is heavily associated with the first Shrek movie). On the internet back when We Are Number One was a big meme, people would sometimes make mashup songs incorporating songs from other memes into the song, though other edits and changes were also very common. This orchestra was playing a song that used many of these memes, so in summary what's happening is that this group is making a very high quality shitpost

They’re not and they don’t. Along with We Are Number One, they were the biggest meme songs of the time, which is why they were included in this medley. If it was purposely arranged this way, then how do the other songs “get in the way,” especially when they flow together seamlessly? Besides, they’re good songs anyway.
