Unreported Police Pursuit Leads to Stacking of Charges

An unauthorized police pursuit that lead to the arrest and the stacking of charges against a felon. Most police departments in Florida have pursuit polices that heavily restrict a police officer's ability to chase a fleeing suspect. In nearly every circumstance a pursuit is only authorized if the driver id suspect of a serious offenses.

Protect yourself and your family with a Dash camera.
You should consider getting a front and rear dash cam! You will get rear ended eventually. A video of the other driver texting and driving when they run into will help your lawsuit.
My dash camera records audio, video, has a front and rear camera, with GPS, and speed display. $150 (ish). If you decide to get one, here's the features you'll want:
1. Front and Rear Cameras
2. Good Video Quality 1080p is fine. (4k will be substantially better
quality but the increase in storage space required is a deal breaker for me).
3. Decent audio
4. A Display screen
5. Easy to remove video card or easy ability to download video.
6. Placed in a location you can easily access and navigate the buttons from the driver's seat.
Each dash cam is going to have bugs and problems. Take a look at the reviews to ensure the camera you buy won't have a fatal design flaw for you.

No and qualified immunity should be permanently gone out the window as it is serving to foster an "us against them" attitude and belief of one being above the laws.... This is not to say that frivolous lawsuits should be permissible because one is disgruntled by being caught breaching laws however there has to be a much greater accountability to prevent civil rights violations because one is claiming they're commiting their acts "in the name of the law" when in fact they are "operating under the color of law" (are bastards of the law) which always violates civil rights and breaches the peace. ...

Yup. The rules in place were written by people with no understanding of the job, or what is necessary to stop dangerous criminals. Obviously, not all rules, but moronic pursuit rules? Yeah.

Here's my thoughts on cops. 1 qualified immunity should be removed. 2 each officer should have to pay their own liability insurance, not taxpayer funded. 3. Reduce the fleet of cars in every dept. by 1/2 and have 2 cops per car. That will reduce gas, maintenance,and vehicle insurance. And will speed up traffic stops as the cops don't have to wait for backup. As far as public records go the taxpayers already pay their saleries, pay for the buildings they work in, paper etc. So records should be free. Also if a cop has a complaint they need suspension without pay until a citizen board finds them not guilty of wrong doing.

The “problem” with policing is human nature. No amount of funding and training can solve this issue. Accountability is a good start. Fear of getting in trouble seems to work for the average civilian so maybe it will work for those seemingly above the law.
