Unrestored 1965 Shelby Cobra 427 S/C (w/ startup)

A rare 1965 Shelby Cobra 427 S/C arriving at and leaving Kobeissi Properties' Cars & Coffee. This car, chassis no. CSX 3047, is one of only two 1965 427 S/C's with factory Hertz Gold paint. A previous owner had the car painted Guardsman Blue, but that paint was later removed to show its original color. The car has never been restored and is considered by many to be the most original 427 S/C in the world.

There weren’t many of em around even back then. Only about 348 of them were made from 65 to 67. The amount of fakes are in the 10s of thousands though

@@DoodleBug92 I purchased CSX 3227 in 1972 I think it was not 1967 (My miscalculation) too Long ago ! I purchased it from the Original Owner Near Philadelphia. Pa. It only had 3276 miles on it . My father , at the time was Furious I bought it ! lol He said you could have bought a Cadillac Cheaper than what you paid for that "Thing" he said . But I wanted a Cobra since the Very first time I Saw and HEARD one . I was only 20 years old at that time . FATE and the Correct TIME surrounded me then ... CSX3227 has been sold over the years for over 700 thousand dollars thats OVER 100 TIMES more than what I paid for it back then ! WHO Knew ?? what the future would hold for them . ONLY 310 427's were ever built I once had a fellow offer me a trade for a Ferrari Berlinetta 250 GT I said No thanks ! I mean NOTHING compares to the Sight , Sound or Thrill Driving a 427 Shelby Cobra roadster .... NOTHING even today ... Enjoy ~

A guy that I worked with had a blue one since 1967 like that all original it was in a little better shape than that one sold for One million two years ago in 2018. I Believe he said he paid $6000 for it when he bought it in 1967. Not a bad investment😬

​@raidersrideordie that's not blue Primer. This car according to the owner was actually painted blue over the original gold. So the blue paint has been simpathically removed to reveal.that the car was indeed one of the 2 originally hertz gold cars. They only found this out after someone was going to restore the car and began stripping the blue paint and found the original gold paint underneath it.

Wrong taillights and the rust is fake. Real Cobras were aluminum which doesn’t rust... all the damage and paint damage looks fake.

I have seen this car and it's an original aluminum 427 SC Cobra. The taillights are correct for early 427 cobras. I have an original 427 street car I purchased in 1968 and it has the round taillights.

Tom Jones agree. Nobody who owns a car worth $500,000 to $1,000,000 does this. Honestly, I think it is fake. Wrong taillights, the “damage” looks painted on and the biggest tell tale sign is the “rust” spots on the front passenger side fender are totally fake. Original Cobras were aluminum bodied... so rust on the body is not real.
