I think it should be like Jeopardy. First to answer the regular questions gets the points. Then going into the final question, you wager and have 30 seconds to put down the correct answer… And throw out how in Jeopardy you have to give questions to the answers.

The format that makes most sense for me is just a first to 11 points or some number that makes a good video length. No wager round, that way every round matters no matter how behind someone is. Can also open the door for crazy comebacks.

Last question should be time based (countdown from 5 seconds) If you answer in: 1 second = 5 points 2 seconds = 4 points 3 seconds = 3 points 4 seconds = 2 points After 5 seconds is just 1 point In this video, John got it in about 4.5 seconds So it could have been a draw, could work? Or could even apply this rule for every answer

Great game. The last round definitely needs to be a wager of some sort, maybe a timed write-down to give both a chance to win/lose their points. The wind got taken out of the sails big time with John getting it right and still losing with a point down.

Best way to have it is to have it in a point base system. So every one right you get 1 points if you make a guess and it is wrong you lose a point. The last one is worth 2 points. The reason why is to make it so the other player has to either have a big lead or they could lose if the other player is really close in points.

A very easy way to do the last round for something like this would be the winner is the one with the most points but have the final question worth more points (say double the points for example). It's probably a clean and easy way to do it.

When it comes to unscrammbling games: / Buzz in with your name. / 1 point for a correct guess. / 2 points for back to back guesses (never goes up, even if you nail seven in a row, it's still 2 points per answer). / Lose a point for an incorrect guess (that way you always have a clear winner on points). / If tied at the end, sudden death round with two finishers you have to decipher at the same time, for example 'TESEW IHCN USICM + ULKLS HRUCSGNI ALNEFI' and the winner takes the game.

I come up with house rules for my board game group, love finding simple rule sets that are easy to follow and produce tension more than anything. Actively losing points throughout the game is surprisingly uncomfortable, and makes you fidget as you try to work your way back into the game, great fun!

Here's one way to play: You guys still have the boards. You get a 10 second time limit and after the 10 seconds, you flip to see who's right. Wager round, you get 20 seconds

You could play this game like Badminton matches. The first player to get to 10 points or above wins but only if he has at least a 2 points difference to the other player. You'd have to have some bonus words in case it's a head-to-head but this way, the last question in the game is always a matchball.

Idea - Have a few spare clues at the end and make it a "Rally" format - the person behind stays in the game until they either overtake the leader or the leader answers one right. I.e. With Dante up by 2, John has to get 3 right at the end to win.

In the Wager Round, the one who gets it right, gets half his points added. For example John has 10 points and gets it right, he gets 5 points. that way he could win even tho he has less points before the wager.

Nah this makes it more convoluted. Every now and then is whatever but I wouldn’t want this every video. And I don’t see how this makes it easier. This should make it harder cause they are screaming their answers faster then if they were to write it down. U have more time to think if they write it down. And if u want more time u can pause it before they turn their boards around. With this u might not even have time to even pause it with how fast they answered some of these questions. I think just for the wager round, they should use the old way to play this game. Both of them use the board and bet points. There's no point in having a wager round if you're not betting points and this is still giving the opportunity for the one with less points to win
