I got married in my 40s too and frankly I had stopped and started absolutelty enjoying my own company and a good career trajectory.. but God had other plans. He always does! I prayed for marriage and God said "seek first the kingdom..." I was like God, what have I been doing all this time lol..

❤😂😂I asked for a financial breakthrough for my family some years ago and he said " seek ye first the kingdom ". That's not the pleasant message to hear when you are broke but I did and it worked.

When God asks of/instructs us to seek first His kingdom and righteousness and the rest will be added unto us, He is really calling our attention to that which is most important and is eternal. The things we often seek are temporal.

And l remember sharing my frustration with my bosom friend l was praying with at the time and to date her response comes to mind when l start to despair. She told me " Yes, you think it's taking longer and your feelings are valid. But Mukama agambaki? Has He told you to stop presenting your desire for marriage to him? Why are you in a hurry to quit? Wait on God and expand your perspective to include how God can help you become a better version of you. Prepare yourself to be that person who the gentleman would be glad to recieve when the time comes".

When a law is passed I understand decisions are made on it as a foundation. If we are not sure of our purpose, God is willing to teach us step by step as He took time to teach Moses. We spend a whole life learning and unlearning. Daily/hourly/moment by moment surrender/submission to the Great teacher and trust in Him will enable us to be positioned in our places. (Position of Obedience/Position of sitting at the feet of Jesus for all children of God: young and old, gentiles and jews) To Zacchaeus on top of the tree🌳, Jesus said to him to come down/calm down. To busy Martha, Jesus asked her to sit and enjoy the Heavenly Manna that gives everlasting life. Some of the Be's🐝 and other small pollinators🐞 below help us to open the floodgates of blessings: Be obedient, Be respectful, Be reverent, Be humble, Be grateful, Be thoughtful Song: Trust And Obey When we walk with the Lord, in the light of His Word, What a glory He sheds on our way! While we do His good will, He abides with us still, And with all who will trust and obey. Chorus: Trust and obey, for there’s no other way To be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey. ...
