Unsettled, what a unique and fun experience. There are questions about the longevity of the game and replay-ability, but i've had a good week with the game and am still enjoying it and that's good. How it holds up a year from now, not too sure. I guess we will find out when the top 100 drops if it has staying power.

I own intrepid, but not played it yet. As for Robinson Crusoe, that's a pretty close comparison and if i thought of that i would have added it as a comparison in the video. Because both games have that desperate survival thing. I think unsettled rewards good play a bit more than RC, which can just spank you for no good reason at times.

Looks neat. Although I scrutinize co-ops extra close. I feel like in games like Robinson Crusoe having three players extra players at the table is unnecessary and often leads to the more experienced players having to shut up to keep from playing it themselves anyway. I get a similar vibe from this. Though I do love those kinds of games in solo play. I'll look into it, a great video as always!

Yeah, that's tricky as its not a cheap game to get the whole kit. And if you end up hating planet 1, im not sure the others will solve it.

Great review! Now I just need to decide on whether to get the base game + 2 planets for $100 or go for base game + 9 planets for $250 on the new kickstarter campaign🤔. Suggestions anyone?

It really depends on your budget. I'd also recommend watching a full playthrough

Speaking cynically, the game will likely hold its value pretty well. So if you don't like it, onselling should not be too difficult. I was very fortunate to get my 2nd hand copy as they were in high demand

I felt the same as you. but just went ahead and full pledge because i'm single: i have the time and the money. But if I was in ur shoes, I would buy Base Game (w/2 planets) AND buy 2 extra planets that appealed to me as add-ons. Each planet comes with 3 different scenarios so u can play each planet minimum 3 times (and that's if u WIN 3 times!)

I enjoyed the game, and even considered picking it up, but I don’t have enough friends who would enjoy this. I will just play with Ivan and his copy. And I already have Far Away.

I dunno, i don't think the game is done once you play a mission once, unless you absolutely need the novelty of new discoveries each time. I've played some of the arkham horror scenarios a dozen times.

I played it solo as we were isolating at the time. But I also read their advice that said the game was specifically not designed for solo in mind. So i thought the "no official solo mode" was the right call.

... damn, you had to like it :P I'm torn on this one. On one hand, I liked Vindication a lot, and this sounds great, and is Sci-Fi which I love, and is Sci-Fi with an emphasis not on shooting aliens but on using Science! to understand and survive the unknown. On the other hand, it is Kickstarter , it is expensive, it is too big and I should not.

It works pretty well if you are armed for it. Are the Soldier or have multiple people attacking it. Dead aliens can't stab you when you run away. after all lol.

It's cooperative... thus there IS a built in "solo" mode, you just true solo playing multiple characters.

Yep. Still, as much as i love a good solo game, i just dont think of this one as a solo game.
