The B button is used to quickly skip through dialogue except for with Katrina, when the dialogue box changes color entirely and you can't go through it quickly. Makes me think Katrina has WAY more power than she's letting on..maybe she knows that she's in a video game...

I believe the reason the Lazy Villagers laugh off the whole 4th wall is is that they still believe but know they can’t do anything about it so they try to not think about it so they don’t go insane.

i’m sure someone else has brought this up already but one of my personal favorites is the “unknown sender” from new leaf, the person who sends you a letter when you start saying that they were supposed to be mayor but handed it off to you last minute. might not be too much of a mystery to some, but i’ve always wanted to know who it was!

You can meet Kapp'n's family in New Leaf where they live on Tortimer Island. He didn't abandon his family, he just doesn't work around them.

I still think that the whole Animal Crossing universe (being the cynical, jaded, misanthrope that I am) is a post apocalypse world in which animals have evolved into their intelligent, anthropomorphized selves and simulate what they think the human beings were like when they were more abundant. The characters we play are one of the few remaining humans in the world, and are just lucky to live in their cobbled together towns.

Zipper is the reason I avoid playing Animal Crossing: New Leaf on Easter. I always will avoid Bunny Day because Zipper T Bunny is creepy, and I never liked him.

Seriously, everywhere you go he's a few steps away watching you. Anytime you turn away he stops hopping, like he has to keep up a facade. I believe MatPat's theory that Zipper is your father. Because you always get a message and gift from your mother, but you only hear from your father on Father's Day. Zipper is clearly someone in the suit, so it might be your father trying to keep an eye on you without actually having you know it's him. That's why I only hops when you can see him, he's not an actual bunny so he gets tired.
