Robert Stack in a trenchcoat, a suit and tie, smart casual and in this episode a leather bomber jacket. No matter what he wore he made it look damn good. He would have made a VERY good Bond. Gone but he will never be forgotten especially when channels like this post series like this so we can all go down memory lane or if the viewers are younger, be introduced to the wonderful host with the most gorgeous voice. RIP sir!!

It's a look and life philosophy called "Squared Away." Lt Stack USN had it, as did many of his WWII generation. We'd do well to imitate and learn from it. It's a great way to be!

In 1991, an America's Most Wanted viewer recognized Hawkins as a former boyfriend. The viewer gave investigators enough information to locate Hawkins in Sardinia, Italy, where he was arrested on August 2. On January 2, 1992, while awaiting deportation, Hawkins tried to escape his Cagliari jail, but was caught in the courtyard. After returning to the US, he was found guilty of fraud and conspiracy and was sentenced to twenty five years in prison. He was released after serving twenty years of his sentence. Boggs and Hanson were convicted of murder, fraud, and conspiracy; they were sentenced to life in prison for their part in the murder. Boggs died of a heart attack in 2003 while serving his sentence.

That case with the three kids becoming orphaned by their mother's death, seriously presented a ridiculous system where they take the children away from a happy environment because it's 'law'. Humans are not dead objects, law should be viewed as a guideline since it cannot possibly cover every variable/potential situation in reality. Children have feelings and their own thoughts too, they should never be neglected or ignored. So sad that so many years of their childhood have been robbed from them.

@@Bringiton513 Yes, I was just gonna say --- many times. social-services adoptions and separation of children from families do a lot more harm than good; a large sector of juvenile delinquents became that way due to being torn from their siblings/parents and then experiencing a lack of family support from their adoptive parents.

This system failed on so many levels I can't even begin to comprehend how and under what circumstances were the processes drawn up. All I can say and hope is that the system should be better by now, it has to be.. come on! Ok, enough ramblings.... so warm and fuzzy the siblings finally reunited, the only feeling that can top that is puppy or dog reunited with owners, still waiting for one episode of missing pets found through Unsolved Mysteries...

side notes on Woody Kelly : In 1992, seven years after Kelly's disappearance, his wife tried to have him declared dead, but two witnesses appeared to testify that he was still alive. One witness was a deputy chief who said he had seen him in Tampa, Florida in 1990. The other witness was a fire captain who claimed to have seen him in Waukegan in July 1991. Instead of being legally declared dead, Woody Kelly was indicted on eighteen counts of mail fraud and two counts of mail fraud. There is still a warrant for his arrest. He is 5'11" and 200 pounds with blue eyes and brown hair. He was born on October 4, 1943

Isn't it great to see how awesomely wards of the state are being taken care of. Tearing siblings apart without even telling them, then saying: "Naaah, sorry, no idea where we put them... byyyeee!" 😬

@@albertmosesjr9869 I don't necessarily think a lot of them enjoy it per se (but there's bound to be some psychos like anywhere) but just the lack of care that's taken and the lack of humanity is shocking to me. I mean on this programme we're mostly gonna hear the negative stories, but in some cases kids really need new families. But that no effort is made to at least give the kids contact data for their siblings? Why?! I'm sure most new parents wouldn't object to that. But having said that the way immigrant families were separated at the border... That's definitely a revenge thing with no thought for the trauma

I think he was one of the most underrated and unrecognized actors of all time. He deserved a lot more love than he got. He was very talented. I think he got stuck with being known as the "voice of unsolved mysteries", so a lot of people didn't know he was also an actor, comedian, a little political, and even sang a tad bit.

21:02 don't bodies in the great lakes sink rather than float? I know that the great lakes have a very low bacterial content, which in turn means that dead bodies will not fill with gas produced by bacterial decay and float. Furthermore, dead bodies at the bottoms of the great lakes tend to get mummied. Again this is due to the low bacterial content of the great lakes as well as the absence of significant scavengers. As for the mummification process, the fat in the body turns into a soapy substance called adipocire so that the deceased ends up looking like a sculpture made out of dirty soap.

On the LeAnn story, it's so weird how "grown up and adult" 27 used to be. So many 20 and 30 somethings in this show seemed middle aged. Woody Kelly being 42 is laughable too. Both the real guy and the actor playing him looked 60.

I have specifically noticed this myself, and have pondered a bit wondering why it’s the case. Is it better cameras and image quality perhaps? Maybe, but seems far fetched to me. I see pictures of folks from WW2 era, and they straight up look like they’re 40+, when in reality they’re freshly 18

Captured. After returning to the United States, he was found guilty of fraud and conspiracy. He was sentenced to twenty-five years in prison. He was released after serving twenty years. At Boggs's trial, a witness stated that he had been attacked by Boggs with a stun gun two weeks before Ellis's murder. It is believed that Boggs intended to murder the witness; however, when the attempt failed, he decided to find another victim (which happened to be Ellis). Boggs and Hanson were convicted of murder, fraud, and conspiracy; they were sentenced to life in prison for their part in the murder. Boggs died of a heart attack in 2003 while serving his sentence.

Wanted. In 1992, seven years after Kelly's disappearance, his wife tried to have him declared dead, but two witnesses appeared to testify that he was still alive. He was born on October 4, 1943, and Today would be seventy-nine-years-old (As of March 15th, 2023).
