The hellfire part was for rejecters, those who got the message, understood it as truth and rejected it out of arrogance. It doesn't apply to the uninformed, those still in process or search, and the imbecile or mentally retarded or deformed. Also punishment is affirmed for the wrong doers (according to the degree of their crime) as reward is for those who do good deeds. Thus, being steadfast in doing good deeds is an important part of imaan as repeatedly mentioned in Quran along with belief in God and prayer.

Many people reacting to this video say that the verse with "pain receptors" isn't "peaceful" or it isn't "godly". Firstly, like Allah described paradise in Quran for us humans he also describes hellfire for humans, so that we know the consequences of doing bad things and that Allah can do everything. Secondly, we humans know that if God made paradise for good people so he also made hellfire for bad people. And because religion is something peaceful doesn't mean that thieves, liars, rapists, and murderers shouldn't be punished.

Fatima Wase, that only proves that Allah is either a sadist or man-made. If Allah knows all the future, why does Allah create a specific human knowing (before his creation) that Allah will hate him and send him to the fire? This can never be a good action. POSSIBLE WRONG ANSWERS: 1. To test us. Allah creates someone who is doomed for hell before his/her creation. No need to test what he already knows. 2. That man has free will. That man didn't choose to be born and put to a test where he is doomed to be hated and tortured forever by god. b. Some Muslims believe that before being on earth, we were human spirits. This doesn't solve the problem because Allah knew that a specific human spirit will go to hell before creating him. 3. Allah doesn't interfere with our action. This doesn't justify the act of creating a human doomed for hell before he is created.

Allah is so merciful that when a person does a bad deed, Allah tells his angles to not write it down, he tells them to wait until he regrets it. If he regrets it and asks for forgiveness then he will be forgiven but if he dosent then Allah will tell the angles to write it down. On the other hand, Your good deeds are written down as soon as you THINK of doing it. Even if you cant or dont do it, it will be written down is you truly wants to do it or think about doing it. To your last question regarding the video, it stated that those who don’t belief in a God will end up suffering from depression in this life and hellfire in the next life. There have been countless of scientific research done recently and they’ve concluded that people who believe in a Creator don’t seem to suffer from depression and anxiety while those who don’t believe in a Creator tend suffer from depression and anxiety due to chasing worldly desires which brings you no happiness at the end of the day. You both asked a very good question. So there are many Muslims who don't practice Islam appropriately or not at all. And I was one of them when I was younger, that's why I had depression. A Muslim who prays 5 times a day is very close to God and would have worries or stress but he would never have depression. And as a good Muslim, a person must know that this life is just a test and nothing more than that and that we should trust Allah (God) because God knows what is good and what is bad for us. That's the most important thing and also that he is the best planner. So if I now lose something or can't get something even though I try my best, I would trust Allah and he gives me if wants. 😊

Quran's meaning on rejection of Allah's messages leading to depression in this life simply means a human even if has everything he ever wanted except for Allah's guidance won't really suffice on happiness and peace in this life . They will always feel hollow somehow even if they achieve all of their dreams they will still feel as missing out on something and not being productive enough. They can still have depression and anxiety because the life is not in their hands and they cannot perceive whatever a new day brings . Consider a billionaire with physical disability . You just cannot control everything in life . I wanna clarify a lot of things to you, first of all, if you do not accept Islam while knowing inside your heart that it is the truth then this is what is referred to in the Quran as a disbeliever or someone who rejected the truth, this is a person who will receive the punishment, but a lovely couple like you who know nothing about Islam or maybe have received false info about it or never heard of it before GOD will never punish a person unless things have become very clear to them. Keep learning and searching. Depression and mental illness happens also to Muslims but you will find that it is so much higher in rates when it comes to the west and people who are living a life chasing materialism and, sex and drugs and just living the life. Most successful people drown in depression and end up committing suicide and we have seen that in countless famous singers. GOD does not say that mental illness does not exist, it does but Islam is the best way to deal with it and maybe even overcome it. Hope I clarified some points to you.

Re: pain receptors. say a serial killer who killed 50 innocent people. So he may be able to be punished for 50 times by replacing the skin so that the real justice can be achieved. This makes perfect sense. Quran is a book of guidance, for all people not for only good ones but also for bad ones. So dont expect to read good things all over. There are messages for those who disbelieve and do bad things. On the other side, there are also plenty messages for those who are good people too. You have to have “bad” to distinct “good” and to have hell and heaven to be rewarded and punished. You have to read whole Quran to have a better picture of it. Hope this make sense.

There are many 'muslims' who too are depressed but just calling yourself a 'muslim' and actually living up to it are two completely different things. Religion isn't on mouth, it's in heart and unfortunately many Muslims of today don't even know what 'Islam' means. What being Muslims means. And finally to give you an example of sorts about the kind of religion Islam is, Islam in the recorded history is the first religion, the first force to ever give right to women equal to that of men. The first one which considered women to be equal to men. The first one to establish their rights. Before Islam, they had no rights. Take Romans or Persians and even Europeans or Indians. When Allah SWT says that if you live your life by being divine and worshiping Him your life will be stress free and you will be granted paradise. However if you are materialistic and reject God then your life will be filled with depression in this life and hereafter it gets worse. Metaphorically many people do drugs and drink alcohol to remove their depression but instead they add more. They don't have guidance from God because they chose to be materialistic. They way I view hellfire, It use to be exactly like yours, it was very extreme and wrong but my perspective changed. Essentially people in this world that commit murder, rape, genocide etc. These people for 1 could get a few years in prison come out of prison into freedom and commit more murders etc and not learn. Or these same people can be put into prison for life for their actions and nobody would feel remorse for these individuals for their extreme sadistic behaviours. When these same people Get judged by God, its on God's will to put those people into hellfire as a form of divine punishment for their sadistic and cruel ways. Also in Islam not sure if you know this but they're 7 Hells in Islam (and 7 Paradises) each one is significantly worse than the other and depending how bad your actions were in life and how you spent your life (either living for your own desires and want) or (living to help others and to help yourself). So not all people in hellfire will receive the same punishment. This is a part of God's omnipotence of being "Completely Just and Fair" God wouldn't be Fair and Just if serial killers and Mafia leaders etc lived in complete paradise with the people that they oppressed In this life. It is cruel but it's not God being cruel it was the people that committed those actions and never once felt sorrow or remorse to think of repenting and redeeming themselves. They are the cruel and Unjust people, which ultimately deserve punishment.

After passing this life if there is just heaven, then what is the meaning of doing good deeds or bad deeds and believing God or not. The reason why religions or God always mention both sides is to give justice to everyone. Why God created us? Because, to worship him. God gave us the guidelines to follow. If we follow these things, we will go to heaven, but if we don't, we will go to hell. That's very simple. Dear, regarding how a merciful God punishes the disbelievers in such a harsh way, be sure that we believe that God/Allah is merciful, the first verse in the Quran says: بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ "In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful." (QS. Al-Faatiha 1: Verse 1) Also God says: إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا يَظۡلِمُ ٱلنَّاسَ شَيۡئًا وَلَٰكِنَّ ٱلنَّاسَ أَنفُسَهُمۡ يَظۡلِمُونَ "Indeed, Allah does not wrong the people at all, but it is the people who are wronging themselves." (QS. Yunus 10: Verse 44) Also God would never punish until he sent a messenger: مَّنِ ٱهۡتَدَىٰ فَإِنَّمَا يَهۡتَدِي لِنَفۡسِهِۦ ۖ وَمَن ضَلَّ فَإِنَّمَا يَضِلُّ عَلَيۡهَا ۚ وَلَا تَزِرُ وَازِرَةٞ وِزۡرَ أُخۡرَىٰ ۗ وَمَا كُنَّا مُعَذِّبِينَ حَتَّىٰ نَبۡعَثَ رَسُولًا "Whoever is guided is only guided for [the benefit of] his soul. And whoever errs only errs against it. And no bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another. And never would We punish until We sent a messenger." (QS. Al-Israa 17: Verse 15) Regarding the verse you saw: إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ بِئَايَٰتِنَا سَوۡفَ نُصۡلِيهِمۡ نَارًا كُلَّمَا نَضِجَتۡ جُلُودُهُم بَدَّلۡنَٰهُمۡ جُلُودًا غَيۡرَهَا لِيَذُوقُواْ ٱلۡعَذَابَ ۗ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ كَانَ عَزِيزًا حَكِيمًا "Indeed, those who disbelieve in Our signs/verses - We will drive them into a Fire. Every time their skins are roasted through We will replace them with other skins so they may taste the punishment. Indeed, Allah is ever Exalted in Might and Wise." (QS. An-Nisaa 4: Verse 56) Some people disbelieve even after seeing a sign or a miracle from God because they want to follow their desire/inclinations instead of the right thing: وَإِن يَرَوۡاْ ءَايَةً يُعۡرِضُواْ وَيَقُولُواْ سِحۡرٞ مُّسۡتَمِرّٞ "And if they see a sign/miracle, they turn away and say, "Passing magic."" (QS. Al-Qamar 54: Verse 2) Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala said: وَكَذَّبُواْ وَٱتَّبَعُوٓاْ أَهۡوَآءَهُمۡ ۚ وَكُلُّ أَمۡرٍ مُّسۡتَقِرّٞ "And they denied and followed their inclinations. But for every matter is a [time of] settlement." (QS. Al-Qamar 54: Verse 3) For instance, in the time of the prophet, some people owned slaves and killed their female babies. God almighty does not do injustice: إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا يَظۡلِمُ مِثۡقَالَ ذَرَّةٍ ۖ وَإِن تَكُ حَسَنَةً يُضَٰعِفۡهَا وَيُؤۡتِ مِن لَّدُنۡهُ أَجۡرًا عَظِيمًا "Indeed, Allah does not do injustice, [even] as much as an atom's weight; while if there is a good deed, He multiplies it and gives from Himself a great reward." (QS. An-Nisaa 4: Verse 40) مَا يُبَدَّلُ ٱلۡقَوۡلُ لَدَيَّ وَمَآ أَنَا۠ بِظَلَّٰمٍ لِّلۡعَبِيدِ "The word will not be changed with Me, and never will I be unjust to the servants."" (QS. Qaaf 50: Verse 29) People wrong or do injustice to themeselves, yet God is forgiving: وَمَن يَعۡمَلۡ سُوٓءًا أَوۡ يَظۡلِمۡ نَفۡسَهُۥ ثُمَّ يَسۡتَغۡفِرِ ٱللَّهَ يَجِدِ ٱللَّهَ غَفُورًا رَّحِيمًا "And whoever does a wrong or wrongs himself but then seeks forgiveness of Allah will find Allah Forgiving and Merciful." (QS. An-Nisaa 4: Verse 110) God created us and knows we are weak so he is merciful with us: يُرِيدُ ٱللَّهُ أَن يُخَفِّفَ عَنكُمۡ ۚ وَخُلِقَ ٱلۡإِنسَٰنُ ضَعِيفًا "And Allah wants to lighten for you [your difficulties]; and mankind was created weak." (QS. An-Nisaa 4: Verse 28) In the same Surah/Chapter (An-Nisaa/the women) that God mentioned how he will punish the disbelievers, he talked about them, read the Surah, for instance, they don't want to withdraw and leave the believers alone: سَتَجِدُونَ ءَاخَرِينَ يُرِيدُونَ أَن يَأۡمَنُوكُمۡ وَيَأۡمَنُواْ قَوۡمَهُمۡ كُلَّ مَا رُدُّوٓاْ إِلَى ٱلۡفِتۡنَةِ أُرۡكِسُواْ فِيهَا ۚ فَإِن لَّمۡ يَعۡتَزِلُوكُمۡ وَيُلۡقُوٓاْ إِلَيۡكُمُ ٱلسَّلَمَ وَيَكُفُّوٓاْ أَيۡدِيَهُمۡ فَخُذُوهُمۡ وَٱقۡتُلُوهُمۡ حَيۡثُ ثَقِفۡتُمُوهُمۡ ۚ وَأُوْلَٰٓئِكُمۡ جَعَلۡنَا لَكُمۡ عَلَيۡهِمۡ سُلۡطَٰنًا مُّبِينًا "You will find others who wish to obtain security from you and [to] obtain security from their people. Every time they are returned to [the influence of] disbelief, they fall back into it. So if they do not withdraw from you or offer you peace or restrain their hands, then seize them and kill them wherever you overtake them. And those - We have made for you against them a clear authorization." (QS. An-Nisaa 4: Verse 91) In the same Surah, God says that he will put the disbelievers in Hell "after guidance has become clear to him", meaning that the punished people saw a clear evidence but they are bad and oppressors who don't want to follow the right path: وَمَن يُشَاقِقِ ٱلرَّسُولَ مِنۢ بَعۡدِ مَا تَبَيَّنَ لَهُ ٱلۡهُدَىٰ وَيَتَّبِعۡ غَيۡرَ سَبِيلِ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ نُوَلِّهِۦ مَا تَوَلَّىٰ وَنُصۡلِهِۦ جَهَنَّمَ ۖ وَسَآءَتۡ مَصِيرًا "And whoever opposes the Messenger after guidance has become clear to him and follows other than the way of the believers - We will give him what he has taken and drive him into Hell, and evil it is as a destination." (QS. An-Nisaa 4: Verse 115) In the same Surah, God warns the bad people who take the money/property of orphans: إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ يَأۡكُلُونَ أَمۡوَٰلَ ٱلۡيَتَٰمَىٰ ظُلۡمًا إِنَّمَا يَأۡكُلُونَ فِي بُطُونِهِمۡ نَارًا ۖ وَسَيَصۡلَوۡنَ سَعِيرًا "Indeed, those who devour the property of orphans unjustly are only consuming into their bellies fire. And they will be burned in a Blaze." (QS. An-Nisaa 4: Verse 10) Some disbelievers such as people of Pharaoh were slaughtering babies: وَإِذۡ نَجَّيۡنَٰكُم مِّنۡ ءَالِ فِرۡعَوۡنَ يَسُومُونَكُمۡ سُوٓءَ ٱلۡعَذَابِ يُذَبِّحُونَ أَبۡنَآءَكُمۡ وَيَسۡتَحۡيُونَ نِسَآءَكُمۡ ۚ وَفِي ذَٰلِكُم بَلَآءٞ مِّن رَّبِّكُمۡ عَظِيمٞ "And [recall] when We saved your forefathers from the people of Pharaoh, who afflicted you with the worst torment, slaughtering your [newborn] sons and keeping your females alive. And in that was a great trial from your Lord." (QS. Al-Baqara 2: Verse 49) Some disbelievers killed the prophets: فَبِمَا نَقۡضِهِم مِّيثَٰقَهُمۡ وَكُفۡرِهِم بِئَايَٰتِ ٱللَّهِ وَقَتۡلِهِمُ ٱلۡأَنۢبِيَآءَ بِغَيۡرِ حَقٍّ وَقَوۡلِهِمۡ قُلُوبُنَا غُلۡفُۢ ۚ بَلۡ طَبَعَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيۡهَا بِكُفۡرِهِمۡ فَلَا يُؤۡمِنُونَ إِلَّا قَلِيلًا "And [We cursed them] for their breaking of the covenant and their disbelief in the signs of Allah and their killing of the prophets without right and their saying, "Our hearts are wrapped". Rather, Allah has sealed them because of their disbelief, so they believe not, except for a few." (QS. An-Nisaa 4: Verse 155) The punishment of God is indead harsh, yet, what some disbelievers do, such as killing babies, is harsh too, they are more like monsters, not humans. Personally, I don't feel sorry for the people that God punishes because they buried their female babies alive for instance. God's mercy and love can be seen all over the Quran, and there are beautiful narrations in the Hadith books as well demonestrating the mercy and love of God Almighty. Yet, the bad people must be warned and threatened by the punishments of God. You seem such a nice and good couple, may God guide us all to his mercy.

First, I'd like to congratulate both of you, because you're willing to explore and learn with an open and curious mind, which is exactly what Allah in the Quran repeatedly urges and challenges all humans to do. One verse specifically states: " O' humans, wander around the Earth and try to figure out how creation started". However, this English translation of that particular Quran verse seems to be less suitable, so please contact whoever made the original video to correct it as below: (Haven't we smoothed the Earth's surface), in contrast to the mountains shape. This is a common poetic style where the sentence mentions 2 contrasting objects, to magnify each meaning relatively. Regarding iron coming from the sky, here are 2 sources: 1. livescience.com states: " In fact, it turns out that some of the most ancient iron known to humans literally fell from the sky. In a study published in 2013 in the Journal of Archeological Science, researchers examined ancient Egyptian iron beads that date to around 3200 B.C. and found that they were made from iron meteorites.". 2. Dr. Zaghloul AlNajjar (a worldly-recognized geologist) in his website Https://www.znaggar.com/p/about-us.html?m=1 Where he states: Iron is a heavy element that can only be produced at extreme heat (> 2 Billion degrees Celsius) in the red giants or supernova stars (our sun doesn't have enough energy to form Iron, so its iron content is roughly 0.0037%, while on earth it's ~ 35.7% of the Earth's mass, so it came down to Earth from outer space when a red giant or supernova exploded, and their iron core was propelled into space until it hit Earth core while it was still forming from much lighter elements. This scientific fact was only discovered in the 1950s). 6:43 This is a little different than big bang theory, because Iron came to Earth at a later stage, after Earth was already detached from the sky and started to cluster from light elements, then Iron hit that cluster and fell to the center of it due to its heavy molecular weight.
