I wish we had more sports cars with diesel engines. Remember the Volkswagen BlueSport concept? I wish that car would have made it to production but given that it's a Volkswagen with a diesel I doubt it. Given the tainted reputation of diesel I think we'll end up seeing more electric cars instead. Though electric cars can be seriously fast too.

Yeah I would too. I'd love something along the lines of a Lexus LF-A shape with a Peugeot 5.5 litre Le Mans V12 TDi from the 908.

::: HammerStudiosGaming ::: The Peugeot 908 RC concept would be the closest to that. Though that car is more luxury car than sports car, it has the diesel V12 from the 908 in it. Also, you may appreciate that the concept is a 4 seat sedan with an MR drivetrain, a layout I wish could be in a production car even if it's impractical.

kindda interesting. i got a speedster 2.2. But to actually sell this ,,new,, car it would need some more power. 150 hp like the old one with new technologie would be amazing. and it needs to be as simple as the old one. no extras like seatheating electric window and all that crap. and maybe some speedster fans will miss the targa roof...

It's a great looking car but when I think ECO it isn't diesel, I think more of electric cars.

That was back in the early 2000s when Diesel didn't have the bad reputation it recieved / deserved in recent years. The Batteries would have been so heavy that it would be aproximately 50% heavier than it actually is. Plus ECO stands for "economic" (energy consumption) not "ecologic" (emissions).
