Thank you so much Adam. Ian has been my favourite singer/songwriter/musician for more than 50 years. I listen to his songs almost daily and they always give me comfort. I find new gems all the time that I hadn't listened closely to before. He is incredibly prolific. He has also very kindly given me advice on how to play some songs over the years. He deserves far, far more acclaim than he has received.

Ian has been my ideal songwriter since 1976, which is to say, the ideal I strive for as a songwriter. Days of Wind and Sun is in my cassette player as we speak. I played Low Coast Road at the farmers market yesterday. I once asked Scott Merritt to porduce my CD because he did Ian's A Body Needs to Travel. Scott asked why I wouldnt just have Ian do it. So I did, and Ian said sure. But life doesn't always go in the direction you aim your arrow. Thank you for this tribute, because Ian is right, the age of the mentors has passed into shadow and we're all on our own now.

Loved this! This is a fantastic video. Ian tells the best stories and he has an infinite amount of remarkable ones. I loved the insight he shared on his songwriting process "You are a dull turnip. You need help." 😂 I felt as if I was curled up by that fire, hes so easy to listen to.

couple legends in one space - what a great piece of Canadiana you've just captured. Uncompromising artists of Canada take note if looking for continued encouragement!

Well one legend for sure haha! Thanks Jordan. It’s very easy to capture Canadiana talking to Ian tamblyn. I hear he sweats maple sap

Authentic, confident and true to himself, yet very humble. What an amazing man! Great folk music too. His words at the end before the song, totally had me. Another Unsung Hero very well chosen. Amazing work on the video editing. Adam, you’re a man of many talents. 😊

Wow! Adam, thank-you!!! Watching this incredible journey through the years of his life, just made my day so much brighter! What a gift! Not only for Ian but for me and anyone else who has not had the honor or pleasure of meeting and experiencing this gentle-spirited, incredibly talented and exceptional man/human being, who obviously lives his life so fully, while enriching others with his love of nature and music. How special, to hear the stories behind the songs. Both brought tears to my eyes and warmed my heart. I am so excited as I can't wait to meet Ian in person this coming Friday Feb.23, in Saint Anne de Bellevue!!! ❤️

Thank You Adam, for this lovely video. What a privilege it was to get to know this talented but oh! so humble man. Right from the start, he refused to compromise his artistic integrity…probably one of the reason he now looks totally calm and content. Was also touched by the story on The Ballad of Mark… Thanks again, Adam.

Pulling out a couple minutes from the end for a moment to say that what you've done here is magic, man. When you get carried off with a story so far that you don't see the work that went into putting it together, you know a lot of work went into it. Amazing work, and Ian has some incredible insights and stories. What a gem of a man and film. You're a saint for putting this together.

Adam…This is truly priceless. You captured a piece of Canadian history and told Ian’s story so well. I know how much time and effort these doc pieces take but you are such a good story teller, and this is a story that needed to be told. I loved it! How special it must have been to spend some intimate time with another ‘original artist’ who clearly has had a considerable influence on you… So much respect to you buddy, you are one talented fellow. Thank you for this 🙏🏼 Looking forward to the next one 😁

Awwww I loved this so much! His story is so interesting and he’s SO humble. I really liked hearing about his songwriting process. It’s so interesting to hear how different musicians approach it. Perhaps you should make a video on your songwriting process, Adam! I think that would be very cool…😊 thanks again for sharing.
