A great leap forward in paint technology. Impressive! But do remember that wind-driven ember attack causes over 90% of all structure ignitions, at least here in North America. Make sure your home and outbuildings are tight. Even a gap of only a few mm say, in the roof, can result in total structure loss.

Very true what you say. About a decade ago a man was selling outside house wall porcelain paint. It appeared to increase the time a house could withstand heat, but cost more of course. That may be why it didn't take off. Windows are a very weak link and should be talked about more. We need a barrier for each window. Same idea as boarding up ahead of hurricanes. I've seen homes that were buttoned up so to speak as you describe and with good defensible space, but the fire heat busted the glass and embers shot inside. Just heat alone, regardless of embers can weaken a structure to then burn. The forest service has some kind of foam they encase historical cabins in the woods that have saved them. There was a 430,000+ acre Park fire in Northern California recently that ran thru everything in its path. A rancher beefed up his water supplies/storage beefed up hugely and saved his property and infrastructure with non stop sprinklers with good force.
