Bruh the same thing happened to me when i first played it. The game literally tells you to do that, when Mike looks at the switch, then looks at Sam and nods. My logic was: wtf am i gonna do against a wendigo? how can i defend Mike? it seemed impossible to me, so thats why i did that.

Since you already beat the game, lemme tell you, there's a bit of.....misleading that the fate of the people are in your hands. What I mean is Sam and Mike specifically. Thing is, the game is designed around Sam and Mike being present at the end of the game in the lodge, so no matter what you do, how many QTEs you mess up or what you choose, Sam and Mike CANNOT die, until the very last scene of the game at the lodge with the Wendigos.

Yet their decisions and QTEs have effect on the fate of your other companions like Mike needs to take the quicker routes while chasing after Jess so Jess can live. Sam needs to find Hannah's diary so the Wendigo won't crush Josh's head. You basically still need to be quite attentive to the gameplay in order to be able to save everyone.

Even after choosing the wrong choice it gives you 2 QTE to save Emily and she still failed those 💀. Also the Jessica one should’ve been obvious to. She looked beat up and could barely run so choosing to run instead of hide was a poor choice. Anyway still an entertaining video

8:40:45 ...I mean, you did move. As soon as it said "don't move" you flipped it down at a complete right-angle to your body. You couldn't move much more lol Also, Jess didn't die because of your controller. She died because you chose to run with someone who you described seconds before as looking "so weak" rather than choosing to hide; Emily died because you chose wrong AND messed up the buttons; Josh died because of how you answered the Doctor's last few questions and because - as Sam - you turned back when you were in the water with Mike rather than following your initial instinct to properly explore and discovering Hannah's diary. This would have changed the story and saved Josh. So if you'd had your controller in the right position, you would've only saved Matt, no one else

Loved this playthrough. It's honestly more entertaining when people accidentally get characters killed, it's more real, specially when this game gets UNFORGIVING in like the last half hour, so don't beat yourself over it.

It's all dialogue that was in the original game and also some dialogue that was cut from the original but added back in and extended so nothing was rerecorded, that's also why the sister don't speak to each other in the intro because they didn't have any of the actors come back to voice them

Like she looked older so I just got curious if they added scenes or dialogue because I feel like it would be super difficult to get all the original actors back on board to do it over. I think you should play choice-based games on your KZbin channel instead of while streaming. Sometimes chat can be a little bitchy with streamers when characters get killed, and this can ruin the experience. I felt bad for you having to explain yourself when you literally couldn't know what would happen and what you had to do to keep them alive. By playing on KZbin, you'll be able to focus more, keep more characters alive, and better understand the story, since these types of games require a lot of exploration and focus.
