Miner Wendigos aren't as skilled in noticing movement. In Chapter 9, Mike moves a lot when the Wendigo is looking straight at him, yet it only jumps if you fail the DM right after. It could be that. The third one also never charges at Sam or Mike if she fails to stay still (possibly because of its fear of Hannah). I believe their vision is weaker than the Makkapitew (stated to be the strongest physically) and, since they're so old, it has deteriorated.

just wanted to let everyone know when my sister played this for the first time she was doing a "least death" run so she saves as many people as possible, she had everyone alive but right at the end she ran to the lightswitch, turned the lights on, blew up the house and her two least favorite characters she wasnt too bothered on keeping alive were the only survivors and everyone else died.

Coming back to this after the remake. No disrespect to the remake, visually it looks fantastic but some of the changes they made to it really don't fit. The lodge finale ost was seriously one of the best pieces and it sucks that it was replaced. Another thing that changed was the Wendigo's scream, the new one just doesn't work for me at all. Although, I feel like if they mixed these screams together, it would really work. I heard a side by side comparison that played both at the same time and it was actually nerve racking. Then again, it's a remake, not a remaster. Stuff like that is gonna change so it may just be the nostalgia talking.

Absolutely agree. I've played the original three times in the past, and my most favorite two things of getting through it were: The Lodge Finale and The Wendigo (more specifically, the sound design). Until Dawn developers definitely could've made a more compelling track at its end if it wasn't going to be the same thing. BUT - in my humblest opinion, the sound design of Wendigo should've stayed. It was that perfect, so much heavier...earth-shattering that made you challenge on holding the controller steady.

lmao I did the same but I didn't realise it would kill everyone I just wanted to get the fuck out of there and fry those wendigo's. Ended up taking everyone out. I managed to keep everyone alive until that moment hahaha. You can imagine my face. Im sure many did the same thing.
