yeah but did you see the most recent dev update? As of this year they stated they are not planning to release a steam deck 2 in years. They want to make sure it's a really noticeable jump when it comes to upgrades. If anything expect it by 2026-2027

@@Thatguyjakey yeah it sucks because we are nearing the 3 year mark? Not too sure on that but still to wait another 2-3 years is ludacris given the Steam Deck is already struggling with recent releases. Who knows maybe the patches will allow for better compatibility

it run mostly okay on a laptop with a 3070ti, had like 4-5 crashes in my entire playtthrough, many dips in fps so not surprised it runs like this on the steam deck

I’m sure it’s UE5 That’s causing this game to run like how it is on the deck tbh games like GOW Ragnarok runs like butter

Performance isnt surprising; the game doesnt even run well on desktop PCs from what I gathered. That said: it bothers me how HDR on the Deck works better then on Windows, despite running through a wrapper xD

Hahaha I can imagine how that’s frustrating. Terrible performance but great visuals. What a mess. Until dawn never did run good even on ps4 when it first came out

Locking it to 30fps is probably the way to go for a demanding title like this. Considering its also locked to 30fps on PS5

Playing this on Clevo PE60 i9 13900h 4070 140w Mobile 32gbram DDR5. For a Steam Deck its not even that bad.

It’s the crashes for me that ruin the experience because every time it crashes you have to watch the same cutscenes again lol. You can’t skip it

I'm not SD user myself, but is it not possible to modify games performance with some custom proton? I mean community is big😂and if someone is enthusiastic 🤷‍♂️

Gonna be honest with you, until dawn since the ps4 has been rubbish in terms of its performance lol. They remade it now and it’s still trash even on high end pcs. Like what are they even cooking in the studio 🤣

@@Thatguyjakey Problem is all this companies wanna use UE5 what is probably the worst engine out there. If this game would use UE4 everything would be perfectly fine. But now they wanna do fake frame generations and rest of "ai" things including a his fancy lightening and shadow effects because it's mainstream and cool. No one actually cares anymore about property finished and optimised products. And in the same time they spend triple digits for a game 🤷‍♂️

@@THETRUTHISOUTTHERE-m9v yeah I hear that. AI is the future because it’s a lazy way to make something work which sucks. But if it’s the only way to make a game bearable for the consumer than I’ll take it tbh
