He is using an Sg type electric guitar with humbucker pickups here, look for comparisons between humbuckers and single coils on KZbin and looks for the best guitars for your budget and buy a guitar with the pickup type you like, some guitars even have both The choice of amp depends on your budget so look for the best amp for your budget again research that and listen to their sound on KZbin i would recommend Boss Katana it has an app to further adjust things and it has alot of effects too so you can get good tones without pedals For pedals Look into buying a Reverb pedal first and then look into buying a chorus pedal its good for these type of sounds then research Guitar gears and pedals look into how different types of pedals sound like and buy what you like or if you don't want to spend too much money you can get a sound card and use an amp sim like Amplitube Hope this helps 😁
