It’s 4:00 am and I can’t sleep. A lot on my mind. For whatever reason, I thought of Anthony Chene and wanted to see if he had any recent interviews. I found this and was rewarded. He will never know it, but Jamie Wheal answered questions I’ve struggled with for years. What a gift. What I thought was going to be a long, troubled, sleepless night has turned from a burden to a boon. To both Mr. Chene and Mr. Wheal, God Bless.

For some time now I've been doing battle with suicidal thinking, that awful "what is the point" feeling.. My recent accomplishment of a degree in Environmental Conservation at age 64 only pointed out the enormity of global collapse and heightened my feelings of helplessness about it all. On top of that, I come from a family of chaotic violence, and the present day insanity only triggers my childhood terror and grief. But worst of all, I have felt enormously alone with these feelings. Every hit from this insane asylum of a capitalist world sends me down another rabbit hole. This video helps me to feel like not only am I not insane or over reacting. I'm having a normal human response to the greed and collapse that's going on all over the world. It means I'm human, and I'm feeling the pain that the world is experiencing. My deep grieving over the experiences in my life and that of the world is a good thing, according to Jamie. I'm not some wallowing loser who can't get my face out of the mud. This talk is the beginning of what I hope is the answer for me to find any sort of peace. "Learn to fall, learn to fall hard." It's not only okay to fall, it's necessary. I've been falling hard for quite some time, and I'm exhausted from it. But perhaps if I see it in the way Jamie describes it I don't feel like such a failure after all.

You “Human Body” is what suffers but NEVER your “Spirit and Soul”,,, you are separate from that. When you learn to separate your human from your Spirit you will begin to see your precious life as it should and could be🌟😌🌟 and that is “Beautiful”💖 Check out Sarah Landon,,, that will open up your heart and help you find a Spiritual Strength you never knew you had🥰 Don’t look outward to this broken world for happiness but look Inward. I will be watching this video more than once. He covers such a huge range of ideas that there is lots to unpack here. "Radical hope". Interesting concept. And I Thank You for sharing your observations, too. In a strange way, it is nice to know that there are many of us that are in a lifeboat trying to get to shore and some measure of safety or security. Just knowing that we are all on a similar journey, is comforting in a way. Wishing you the best of luck as you move forward on yours.

Beloved Wandering Albatross 🕉 You are not who you make yourself to be. Marlene Rochin's reply is true. Your life is being run by a false identity --- ego, false-self, persona, etc. --- and this egoic mind can only survive in the past and future which do not exist in the timeless present. Awaken the MASTER within and make the mind your servant (and the ego your slave). At once, get a copy of the book: The Power Of Now by Eckhart Tolle. Make a conscious effort to practice, at least once daily, the methods described in the book. If when you read the book you notice yourself feeling uneasy or critical, "that "is the tyrant running your life attempting to get you to close the book for good, because it's very existence is threatened. Show "it" who's the boss and plow through. You should consider becoming a Quantum Activist (look up Amit Goswami PhD in Oregon) to compliment your Environmental Conservation degree and endeavors. --- Awaken to THAT which sees through you ---

I greatly appreciate the extraordinary work shared by Anthony Chene and the intelligent perspective shared by Jamie Wheal. Thank you for the reality check. I have participated with a Lakota Sweat Lodge for six years. A core Lakota belief is that when we do healing work, 7 generations of our ancestors and 7 generations of our descendants benefit. It makes the courageous work of living and growing through obstacles in this lifetime worth it. This year I began my Ayahuasca journey here in Florida. I have done six ceremonies and feel it is by far the most direct and profound path to Truth I’ve ever experienced. It led to healing and understanding that was beyond any expectation. My practices and participation in Sacred Ceremony give me great hope about our potential to create a new human paradigm where “we are for all humans.”

As someone who has lived on "the mountain" and "the island" and reached spiritual pinnacles only to return to mundane survivalist situations, I appreciate this conversation about how we must all return to healing in response to the peak. It's a long dream, but with each cycle, we do get stronger, we also become more beautiful humans and know that we are more than that. We are always inbetween heaven and earth. We come to trust that we can handle any storm or season. Our systems do not promote a more perfect union, but it is what nature does best; nature is missing from the US constitution, the constitution that immune officials regularly disregard. At the end of the day, people have to take their power, which is rooted in their divinity.

Yet no one in a position of influence says anything. It's like seeing a bunch of people on a balcony, with more and more coming, and the supports are thin and frail, yet no one notices, or those that do don't say hey y'all should really make sure the foundation is strong before piling on there with no worries. The whole system is set up where we rely on someone or something else for every basic need. And it's all dependant on a few vital things that are a flash in the pan as far as human timeline goes, and highly susceptible to nature's wrath. There is currently no safety net.

Then it was like this hard thud of realising oh I have find a way of living a balanced life engaging with people of all sorts finding a way to give something positive to the world but not tossing the baby out with the bath water. All I can do is try to not make things worse and hopefully have an impact on an individual level that will have an effect on humanity collectively. I am certainly not anywhere near this gentleman's level of knowledge or experience but I can try that's all I can do. I think if you just try and even when you get knocked down to not give up. @@lucidmonkey3591 I almost included him. I love Alan Watts, but for me he’s more of a philosopher, a narrator of life and it’s difficulties. Fantastic sense of humor, which I always come back to. It is important to have presence, and appreciate the now moments, but we must not lose sight of where we’re going.

@@benhaad4sho Thank you for saying that. The truth is we are everywhere. It’s part of the human design to be this way. We just have to remember.

This is an amazingly profound insight of the times we are living in. As I listened to Jamie, I was able to view things differently and with more hope and feeling of purpose. Thank you so very much. ❤

Beautifully analyzed...I couldn't have said it like that. But, life is a balance and we can't run from it. It must be faced and we must contribute. It is all about learning to overcome ourselves and keeping ourselves at the Lords feet. I don't feel like I belong in most circles. I've accepted this and I keep looking up. I'm not envious of the wealthy...in a sense I pity them as it seems like another form of bondage. But you hit it on the nose when you mentioned gratitude. Gratitude for creation, the fact that WE can create, and how we can positively affect the beautiful people around us. Life IS worth living. Every imperfect second of it!!!

Tahnk you Jamie Wheal!!! I think cutting edge neuro science leads nowhere when we don`t change our "why". To become better at a game that sucks is not where I want to go...

Check out the origins of “swear words” or curse words, most are based on classes of mid-evil social structure. It’s soooo interesting.

I think posting a KZbin video always comes with a free 20-thumbs-down standard package. Otherwise I wouldn't have any other explanation for thumbing down one of the most interesting interviews I've seen over the last few weeks.

You are right. It seems as there is living a culture of misantropic people of hate just under us. They also belong to the matrix we create. We can use them as teachers for learning more about love and forgiveness. 🌱

Wise words and what a thought-provoking video. If each living thing/atom on the earth is like a cell of one large body , then what happens to one part effects all parts. So it seems self-destructive when 28 people own 50% of the wealth while millions starve. That's like sending almost all your blood to a small part of your body and little or none to the other cells. Bound to self destruct. Very impressed also with his advice, when wondering what's the point of life, to seek novelty, make art and help out, which I translate as explore, create and assist. Great content on this channel as usual and well worth watching.

I'm not a Christian BUT so much of whats said here is echoed in the teachings of Christ and the Bible just we-wrapped in todays language. I wonder if we're missing a trick and buying into a new take on an older theme?
