What is Roblox? ROBLOX is an online virtual playground and workshop, where kids of all ages can safely interact, create, have fun, and learn. One thing you forgot. Saving stamina. Using up all your stamina results in you getting stunned for about two seconds. Your opponent can attack in this timeframe. Some styles can also sap your stamina. (Charge, hammer)

Many counter style users like to keep their stamina low so as to trick the opponent to be more aggressive, which the counter user can easily punish because counter styles can do a lot of damage to aggressive players.

This video is good. I've always thought this game needed a manual like this, seeing as how you are pushed into the ring without anything other than the basic controls. This really pushes away new players who get beaten over and over again by players who win purely by knowing more about the advanced features, example; Faints, dashing while guarding, perfect dodges, M1 strings, passive or special abilities, etc.

I would recommend starting with counter style. The experience you gain from using it can be used with any style imo. Benefits well knowing how to read your opponents a lot.

I think they should start off with their style of choice as if they start with counter then use ippo it would really mess them up as the m1 speed is really different and will just make them have a hard time to move from outboxer to a inboxer if they decide to use a inboxer,so to sum it up Outboxer-counter Inboxer-smash or ippo

BASICS (against your skill level): your opponent's patterns and how you read them are important things about the game. example: An ippo user would immediately dash to the side after you dodge their light attack, dodging early to try and predict your light attack. however, it's not necessarily reaction time, it's a prediction because they cant react to light attacks. so, you can use an m2 to use the fact they're dashing too early and catch them with a big shot of your own. you could also pressure blocks with your light attacks by poking them, and it works well at the beginner level. You delay your m1, then m1 again, you just keep resetting your m1 string until your opponent gets too rash and tries to dash early. Here's two options: 1. You dodge the m1 they throw and punish them. 2. You predict they dodge early, and use an m2 while they dash to catch them. ADVANCED): the same rule applies; your opponent's patterns and how you read them are important things about the game. A counter user is constantly pressuring you with m1s, and dashes twice to secure and avoid m2s. You think of an option to delay your m2, but the second time you dont land and get nailed with a counter. The solution is is a delayed m1 to catch them. I've used this successfully with long guard before the nerf, and can still somewhat do it today. You can react to m2s, but you cant necessarily react to m1s as much, and you rely on predictions to dash or counter. (i'll add more to it when i need to)

For when you get better at the game you will eventually need to understand the importance of footwork. A more advanced technique you can do as any style of fighting you use is a walk feint.(Self named) used in neutral it’s performed by taking a few steps towards your opponent and then immediately stepping back (not dashing) this makes your opponent think your coming at then and a very common way to snuff out attacks while on defense is to throw a fast jab to try for a counter, this is exactly what you want however because if spaced correctly you can take advantage of the whiffed jab to counter due to the extended hurt box that comes with the opponent attacking with your own for a free block string. It’s most effective when used on a opponent that’s low on hp and are very anxious of you trying to dash in for the knock down. I mostly use this as a infighting tool as opponents are especially weary of a style with strong m1s like smash. This can also be used to fish for a perfect dodge.

Always try to make the person use all of his m1's and m2's so you can recognize his style moveset so you can perfect dodge easily. Number 1 tip

a common thing I see with new players is that they tend to just keep on dashing to somehow “trick or catch them off guard” to throw their punch or hope for a perfect dodge, they will keep on dashing until they run out of stamina, if you’re new and you have never done this before, don’t do it, you’ll end up getting hit more then just hoping for a perfect dodge, what would I do with my dashes is to do fakes, meaning that they will react by highlights rather than waiting for a punch, they will dash back or dash to the side to dodge the “punch,” even though it’s a fake, you can then punish them by a m1, m2, or your ability, depending on your ability is how it will affect your opponent, I don’t recommend punishing them with your ult because it’s more likely you will miss, get perfect dodged, or countered or blocked, although yes it might work but it’s better to use your ult for a block break or when you perfect dodge

for anyone new to any game, you should be playing against people slightly better than you all the time. Even if you lose, you'll improve and develop GAMESENSE. If you fight the same skill level all the time, you develop habits that are hard to loose later- such as instinctively m1ing after a whiffed m1. Once you feel confident enough in your abilities, you can hop into ranked, but be warned- alot of things will feel REALLY unfair in this game intill you forcefully learn how to deal with it. Dealing with backdashes, feints, and random bullshit will come with gamesense as you fight those styles overtime. And if you get stuck and feel like your not improving, take a break and come back after. You'll feel refreshed and be able to realize your mistakes. TDLR; Don't just keep fighting people lower than you, you wont develop anything but ego.

If you’re really new, try using the counter style. It helps you read opponents easier which develops into skill for any future styles you’re planning to use, it’s whole move set isn’t bad with the extra counter damage, it’s very easy to get, and in total it just shapes your whole mind to get used to the game.

It's also worth noting that an ultimate is technically considered an m1 so they can't dodge if you use it to follow an m1 string. Meaning that if their block was low enough, you're guaranteed to break it and land that ultimate

@@nekoresetter to balance him, he basically just needs to have a bad dash and a below average shield and we're good. Oh yeah, and also lower the stamina on that style. It hurts me to see that all styles just have the same stamina. For a more balanced game I feel they need to make it so that endurance, stamina, and HP are different for each class too. Example, counter has glass HP but makes up for it with good endurance and good stamina so he can dodge attacks easier.

This is sorta directed towards counter styles (im a bullet main, trust) but it's good general advice too. Being able to read your opponent is a good skill do develop, especially if you're using a counter style. Tons of damage

There is another feature in combat, you can make a perfect block, that is, while your opponent is making a heavy attack, you can press the block at the right time and you will have the block as it was, I do not know how others have, but I have come across this more than once.

For newer players i recommend using the style you already have (aka basic) or commons because of how they are simple to play,most legendaries/epics has its own gimmick which would confuse you even more (switch styles if you are confident that you are good enough)

the best styles for beginners is long guard or turtle...just dont use counter if you are a new player because it needs luck and focus while trying to learn your opponent patterns but its your choice

Hawk would be great for beginners that wants to learn something easy, here's the reason: 1. Good feinting 2. Good amount of damage 3. Good amount of counter damage 4. Easy to learn And lastly perfect dodge, whwn it comes to perfect dodge hawk rules this one. All you need to do is good timing and read you're opponent's move

if you want to understand more about the lore behind the styles in the game, i suggest watching "Hajime no Ippo". its the anime and manga the game is based on. oh and i reccomend starting with the basic style :) trust me, don't let the name deceive you. if you want a style with a special ability, i suggest either wolf or shotgun. these are pretty good styles to practice with. as you learn more and more, you can switch to the other styles. so yeah have fun! and never, EVER, play ranked mode. please. keep your sanity safe.

Tbh the best style to use back then was old ippo but now its corkscrew it may hav broken regen but it helps with m1 timing and m2 since they r decent and the broken block is for u to be able to get used to blocking but i may be wrong since when i started using it i became to passive/defensive and got rlly rlly trash at being agro so not sure but another one could br hammer since its like old ippo its an all rounder.
