Say what you want about Dr. Phil, but I watched his show for years and he had an episode dedicated to catfishing. He gave a list of red flags: no phone calls, no video chats, last minute cancelling, extreme illness, sudden deaths, asking for help or money, overseas needing help to get back to you, needing funding for a "project". I used to online date, and every person who used one of these excuses turned out to be a catfish.

I got catfished 11-12 years ago when I was a teenager and I would be lying if I said I dont think about it even still. I know who catfished me never got a answer why, ever. I got bullied and accused of catfishing myself ana which stings a bit. I can laugh now but I defintly was not laughing at the time. The whole story was so insane that my 24 year old brain cannot fathom how not just me but 5-7 of us could fall for it. Smh we was FOOLS 😂
