Eddie Griffin is my all time favorite comic. What I love most about him is that he's a total performer - He can dance, sing, play some guitar, make impressions of some celebrities, and act, beyond comedy roles. Most of all, he never comes off as bitter or talking ill on anyone either (not that I know of), though he's not afraid to speak his mind either.

Here's a story. I didn't realize how beloved Eddie was until I saw him on tour with Cedric, D.L, Charlie Murphy, and George Lopez. It was the week Prince died. George brought out each comedian one by one.... and each comic's "intro music" was a Prince song. Every comic got a great response when they came out. But when Eddie came out to "When Doves Cry"....it was the loudest crowd POP I've ever heard. He literally had to jokingly tell everyone to calm down and get quiet.
