The number of babies that died due to neglect at OKEU is alarming......someone needs to investigate.

How can a Doctor cut a wrong leg? The Nurses check the affected limb?

This brought tears to my eyes. Very sad. They themselves don't allow any practitioners to work on them straight overseas for medical attention

St Lucia has to do better. Ninety percent of the island doctors are not qualified enough. They are in need of more training and continuous education. That young lady should still be alive today… and if they could not save her, made the decision to save the baby. these doctors have to be held accountable for their negligence over and over again. Their licenses should be suspended, whilst the investigation is ongoing . The title of doctor , is not just for status…the work has to be put in . We have to handle this problem from the head aka the government. They give titles to people who are barely qualified who themselves , seek medical attention overseas when they are in need of it…they just talk a good game, but the proof is in the mortality rate.

And your point? You sound very uneducated. Next time before you speak do some research. Information as per emedicine "The scalp veins provide a secondary option for peripheral intravascular access in small children and infants by virtue of the minimal subcutaneous fat, the reduced movement, and the lack of a flexible joint; these factors reduce the likelihood of catheter dislodgment, which is common with IV catheters placed in the arms or legs."
