This was humbling and heartbreaking to watch because of that beautiful baby boy...It's unlike the typical embalmed corpses that are common here in America, his limp little body still looked like he was asleep...I love how carefully and lovingly they prepared him for burial...May God rest this beautiful angel's soul and heal the hearts of all who loved him...

I don't think the funeral was that unusual. Just different. Maybe unusual because it's a precious young baby. But the love and energy is the same it's universal. Rest easy young baby, and then come back to Mother again and be born as her next child.

Everything out of Africa seems "unusual" and primitive to the white man. FYI, you can not expect us to copy everything coming from your part of the world. You've got your culture and we've got ours.

Nothing unusual about this at all. To an traditional African, every tradition of the Western Culture is unusual, and vice versa. This is Unique.. Bot unusual.. change your mind frame!!!

I honestly don't see anything unusual about this. It was a sweet and simple ceremony to have for one so young. There doesn't need to be a lot of bells and whistles to ritualize the deceased.

I am wondering, what are the women singing about in the beginning? Is it more of a prayer for the deceased, or more a way to commemorate the life the child had before?

RIP Little Angle...This Funeral is not Unusual. It is not the same way like us because the only deference is they are chanting. They express their sadness in a different way. with a drum and some rhythmic words. We must not say like that.

Trust Jesus he can save He can heal you He can pardon your sins He can free you from curses He can build your family He can give you eternal life He can give you peace he is not religious "what we are wiithout Jesus Christ--a rotten, sinner dead in trespasses and sins. ... If you want to know the Lord and be saved, then what all you need to do is REPENT of your sins. Ask Him to save your soul from hell and give you that peace that . nothing else can give and remember you have a eternal life"

This is how we bury our deads too here in the Philippines. Minus the: we lay our deads on their backs not side ways.
