this one looks like a lost, domesticated mynah - the vocalisations made by the bird seem to be learnt by the bird from inside a house / under captivity and in the absence of other / wild mynahs; wild urban mynahs keep safe distance from humans and their natural vocalisations are also quite different - although they were popular as pets - I know because mynas are a native of my country, India.

You should have kept it inside and tried to find it's old owner. Not many birds that have grown up with humans are able to survive in the wild -- having not learned to forage for water of food, or recognise what IS food in nature, as it is very different to the foods we feed them as pets. Most die of starvation, dehydration, or predation within a week. A local vet clinic might be willing to look after lost birds while searching for the owners.
@nathangray83546 жыл бұрын
I hope you kept it and cared for it... If a bird becomes talkative and friendly enough to come into your house- it's probably someone's pet and it won't be able to fend for itself in the wild most likely.

They are surprisingly friendly birds. I used to live at an apartment where 2 of em frequented and sat on the window sills. One of em had a unique white patch on it's feathers so I knew it frequented me always. I used to get my hand closer to it and it just makes sounds and doesn't flinch. Even named it Jones. So when it comes, I say "sup jones".

To everyone who's saying about his messy house: that's just how he lives. He doesn't feel like putting stuff to where it should be, but he can if he doesn't like how messy it is. I have an unorganized room, but I can organize it if I feel like it. This isn't the point of this video, this cute little mynah is the point.
@lizbotica29656 жыл бұрын
Quite right about the house, it's about the bird. I've raised a still naked baby myna, will put up my video tomorrow 🙂
@rushbcykablyat17926 жыл бұрын
Haha if I had a messy house myself but it's my own preference, then I would've truly enjoyed it without caring about how anyone else would have judged/criticized, or try to make me feel bad about it lol. Don't you know? Human beings are very good at manipulating the self-esteems of one another, just so that they can impose their own subjectivity onto life itself.
@rushbcykablyat17926 жыл бұрын
Hmm to think about it: Why do people in this world constantly judge and point out one another's endless flaws and mistakes...whenever they find the opportunity? My guess is that whenever you see someone judging/criticizing another, they are simply expressing their own inner fear not being good enough. Which is why they often need to feel better in life by pointing out all sorts of real/imaginary imperfections that they see within people or circumstances around them. It's like an addiction for people to judge/criticize. This is how prideful people feel superior. That's how most people cope with living in such an imperfect world like ours. Because when you are always pointing your fingers externally, then you are always diverting your own attention away from the beam within your own eyes. And most people hate feeling bad and wrong about themselves...so it's better that they make other people feel bad about themselves instead. That's why human beings constantly judge one another's mistakes, even though none of us are truly perfect in life. Trying to protect yourself via attacking all others...that's the basic mantra of all prideful but cowardly human beings on earth.
@JodBronson5 жыл бұрын
100% agreed! If they come over my house, they would scream of the mess for sure! You see, I used to have OCD.... EVERYTHING has to be clean! When my Mom passed, I changed. All my life, I spend time cleaning... I have NO TIME for other things.... Now I feel like I missed some of that... I could have spend more time with my Mom instead of cleaning. Now it's too late to go back!
