Jesus was actually angry that the gentiles had no where to worship god, they were excluded from the holy place. The Pharisees were extorting gentiles and gatekeeping the holy of holy (gods place of worship) and continuing in sacrificial worship. This completely contradicted Jesus’s message at the time. He came as the son of god to do great works and miracles, to redeem not only Israel (gods chosen people) but also all of humanity. So what’s the difference? The church back then was not willing to believe Jesus and wanted to stick to the Old Testament and the old covenant that god gave them. But Jesus says John 14:6 “ I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” They rather to continue to toil by there own efforts of sacrifice and be remorseful but continue to sin. This means they would continue to be irredeemable in gods eyes. But through the blood Jesus shed on the cross they would be saved. We become washed clean by the blood , Jesus paid a heavy price to leave the Holy Spirit so that when the time comes, god the father sees a new creation; Jesus in us instead of human sin . Imagine how frustrating it would of been trying to save all of humanity, they see great miracles, they testify wonders that Jesus did in front of them, yet they still would rather continue to practice this kind of religious zealotry when Jesus was literally there to free them from that. A lot of people don’t like that the church fund raise, but the reality is the money is used for a purpose. Whether it’s evangelism, maintaining occupancy in places so the church can exist or building local community. ultimately this is all for the glory of the kingdom of god. Selling prayer sessions/blessings and other announting oils etc is witchcraft cause it’s gods will be done,sometimes we need discernment in this regard. things for massive profit I think is no good but John makes fun of those people a lot and is pretty honest about it. Sorry if that’s a bit long but hey that’s the answer.

Praise God I have learned that if I'm in turbulence it means that I'm flying to low. I like how John explained it. I would say that in time of trials the Lord wants us to rise above our circumstances.
