▌NTU International Mentorship Program | French Chamber Taiwan
Yuchen Hsu, a first-year student pursuing a Master's degree in Climate Change and Sustainable Development, embarked on an internship at the French Chamber Taiwan through the NTU International Mentorship Program. Under the guidance of General Manager Stéphane Peden, she learned and promoted the sustainability initiatives embraced by the Chamber and its diverse members. While applying her academic studies and gaining industry insights, she also gained invaluable international workplace experience.
Inspired by France's endeavors in sustainable development, Yuchen sought the internship at the French Chamber Taiwan. She explored new fields such as member marketing, crafting newsletters, and contributing to community projects. Notably, she adeptly analyzed the sustainability accomplishments of Chamber members and researched Taiwan's 2050 Net Zero Emissions Policy, preparing the Chamber for government panels. Concurrently, she revitalized the Chamber's online presence by revamping its official website and creating annual promotional brochures, spotlighting its diverse ESG efforts.
Throughout her internship, Yuchen engaged with authentic industry databases and ongoing discussions with Stéphane about sustainability strategies and key development areas. This experience provided her with a profound understanding of the impact of sustainability expertise and the current landscape of the industry. Additionally, it marked her introduction to a highly internationalized work environment, enabling her to collaborate with colleagues worldwide and grow both personally and professionally. Equipped with the insights gleaned from her time at the French Chamber Taiwan, Yuchen is more resolute than ever in pursuing her vision within the sustainability realm, aspiring to contribute to a better future for society.
