Even in the buddhist Tantric worship we have Kantaras ........ we call them the various guardian deities. When we cross a certain area on the road we stop the vehicle to pay respect to gateway hill diety . You call them Kantara we call them by our local names. We have a goddes that has a boar head called the Dorjee Phangmu

Greetings... I'm a ethnic Tuluva from Tulunāḍụ 🌞🌛. Buuta( not Bhuuta / Bhuutha of Sanskrit) has nothing to do with Vedic culture. It is totally a different belief. Buutolè sugipu is an animistic worship of sprits of animal or ancestors. Don't misguide the people by saying that buutas are Shiva gana( part/ servants of Shiva).

I think you need to listen in again to get what was being talked about and in what context. Also it’s incorrect to believe that Devatas called Daivas and Butas aren’t coming from Vedic culture. You may need to read more about this across cultures to draw comparisons and then arrive at a conclusion
