The REM-POD uses a miniature, telescopic antenna to radiate its own electromagnetic field (EMF) around the instrument. This EMF is easily influenced by materials and objects that conduct electricity. As the energy from a potential paranormal entity influences the field, four colorful LED lights are activated. These can be engaged in any order and combination, depending on source proximity, strength, and EMF distortion.

Excellent video! I’ve often wondered about the various limitations of different paranormal investigation tools. This answered some of my questions and gave me a great scale on which to judge what can make a REM pod interaction more or less compelling.

You told me what walkie-talkies you used. What was the furthest you were away from it and the rem pod still was activated. Does it also interfere with any other equipment? Curious?

Most videos I watch about debunking the REM pod. The Walker talkie when activated usually only sets off the green light. I hues you’d need to be closer to make the other colors go off, or would it also be signal strength. And I saw an Interesting one that shows an investigator having 3 rem pods up on mounts about 4-5 feet off the ground. And he was making the REM PODS go off when he pointed to one and said,” Now make this one go off.” And it would with out setting the other ones off. Could it be editing. Taking the battery out of the others so only the one he pointed out would go off. Hell if an edit, I’ll tell you that if it was edited. Will stronger channels cause it to change to the other colors other than the constant green. I’m trying to figure out how the investigators fake there or manipulate there equipment. I have figured out a bunch of techniques. Sad thing is if real investigators wanted a tv show it wouldn’t even be watched because I have been to multiple sights that I got no evidence what so ever. How could you choose which rem pod you wanted to go off w a walk-in talkie or 2 way radio? And what can make it change other colors other than green.

@@PRIMAL73 fantastic thought and questions. I don’t know how you could make one specific REM pod go off and not the others- we have had walkies set off REM pods that were a significant distance from the rem pod- I assume the broadcast of the walkie is 360 from the walkie itself, in which case it shouldn’t theoretically be possibly to single out a rem pod to activate. I really like your question though; we will make another video to follow up. Expect it with our new investigations coming out this fall!

@@DrGhostHunters what interferes more than a REM pod a walkie talkie or a two way radio. I guess the stronger the walkie talkie the stronger the interference of the Em field. And you said,” 2 way radios interfere w a rem pod as well.” Correct. What interferes more two way radios or walkie talkies? Wanna stay away from the stronger one. So when setting up multiple rem pods I will have to make sure my walkie is turned off. You sent me a pic actually if the two way radio that you used in that video were your friend was upstairs(wasn’t he upstairs and he clicked the button from upstairs n it made the REM Pod go off. ) did you both have the two way radios on for that interference to occur. Only reason I ask is if I turn off my walkie in an area we’re I have a few rem pods set up. And there are a few people over in another section of the building and another group in another building entirely.( so 3 groups) would the 2 groups be able to talk to one another if I am on another floor or building with my 2way turned off. And the 2 other groups still have there’s on, would it still interfere w the rem pods or do you have to be closer to the Pods to set em off.

We just filmed another lab where we tested this (distance, but not necessarily off), and it seems as though the transmitting walkie does reach a distance limit that will no longer set it off. We found a way to just set off certain colors too- it really makes me think multiple rem pods is the only way to go to ensure lack of confounding factors
