That wheel of Dharma is a work of art. Thank you for the historical lesson and yes we should all get along and share some mango with sticky rice 😋💓🙏. I do like that unique plane.

Hope it wasn't too long and boring mate. I got carried away... took me about two weeks to edit haha. I've already got an urge to go back as it was a bit of a rush. I love the parkland setting and no modern buildings built within the old town.. 🙏❤✌

Hi JB , was there in 2017, at the wheel (36:43) there should have been 2 carved rocks about a foot in dia, at the base of the wheel gone now not in the video. You are bringing back a lot of great memories. Thanking you, my Thai wife has taken to some very interesting places all over Thailand, in the dry and wet seasons.

G'day mate. Do you ever wander and wonder what could lie beneath your feet? Do you ever feel a ' tiny bit guilty wherever you may wander '? I read the book, ' The Falcon of Siam ' many years ago. In my opinion, a good read. I live in Ayutthaya these days but, cannot get around any more. Thanks for helping me get around mate.

Hi Jim, wow.nice ! the stone work is amazing, it's hard to imagine that it was sculpted with bare hands and without machines. I think the world is becoming poorer when it comes to amazing monuments - what use is a tallest structure in the world to me (I don't like it anyway)? It is certainly falling apart faster than all ancient temple complexes... thanks JB Jim great wandering wondering and infos❤️👍👏
@JBWanders73Ай бұрын
Thanks very much Cindy. Yeah, I have seen nothing like the stonework on that stupa/pyramid/temple before in Thailand. I wonder if there is a secret door to a chamber inside or if there is a 'relics cellar'. I've seen some 'lidar' for this area, which shows it could have been a far bigger settlement. It's in a lovely parkland setting and very peaceful 🙏✌❤

There are no such thing as Khmer temples which is a historical fabrication. Khom empire relating directly to Indian civilization is what you refer to as Khmer one.
@JBWanders7320 күн бұрын
You clearly did not watch the video (or the next one) and are responding to the title alone. In the video, I explain that the French fabricated and oushed the empire story, and I also explain how Thailand, Chenla etc were directly influenced by India. Watch before you rashly comment, otherwise you may make yourself look silly x
