Jvari Cathedral is a 6th-century Georgian Orthodox monastery located on a hilltop overlooking Tbilisi. The cathedral is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and considered one of the finest examples of medieval Christian architecture in Georgia.

Mtskheta is an ancient city located about 20 km from Tbilisi. It was the capital of Georgia from the 3rd century BC to the 5th century AD. Mtskheta is home to many important historical and religious sites, including Svetitskhoveli Church, Jvari Monastery and Samtavro Monastery.
