Love the JWK Gunslinger Jack.. its a modern slipjoint STYLE i guess... not the same but still.. Love the Lil bro and Big bro and Laid back...& Hedgehog... Realsteel and rosecraft look nice but dont seem to get much love.... Ive only got Gunslinger so Im basing this purely off looks and reviews... Excited to see how the Fireball does! If you like the look of them you will love the feel and the experience I personally don’t think a better slip joint exists. I understand wanting to handle one b4 buying with the price but I personally don’t think you would be disappointed

I’ve handled it but every Lionsteel I’ve gotten in the last few years has not had the best heat treat but I’ve someone said they are starting to get a little better

Great Eastern Cutlery makes the best slip joints. Jack Wolfs are okay but overpriced.

This is almost comparing apples and oranges. As an owner of both, I love GEC for what they are, very high quality, beautiful, USA made traditionals. In terms of actual use and performance, JW's blow them away in every possible way and have insanely high tolerance build quality. The S90 vs 1095 steel isn't even remotely comparable. Price? Unless you know somebody or get almost comically lucky on a GEC drop, you're not getting a good GEC for under $175 with most going for sometimes well over $200. The JW's are not as overpriced as many people want to think.
