Insightful! Congrats, this vedio is different and special one till now. It will be good to see more data and configurations for this demo. I was expecting to get the kit in India but there was no option. 🙃 But still applied. Eager to explore this devkit. 🙂

Well done, Mohammed! Your explanation of the concept was excellent!

Thank you!

OK explanation, but isn't this all compensating for the increased error rate as the range increases? I would have liked to see a more data driven demo than just connected/disconnected. Overall, the range is still impressive!

Noted! Thanks for the suggestion. Hopefully in another video, we'll do more data-driven approach.

What device and antenna did you use for the central in that test?

Just the One Plus Nord N10 5G phone (with no external antenna) running the EFR Connect mobile app

Wow I haven't flown a drown in years but I can't believe how crisp and steady that video was!

This is very interesting! I am curious if the energy cost are affected. This sounds a little like the old-school sliding window in flow control used with low baud modems back in the days when dinosaurs (and me!) roamed the earth assuming there is code running at both ends?

I've no doubt that with suitable coding you can achieve reliable communications over long distances but my concern is that as you crowd the spectrum you increase the noise floor. This doesn't show up with lab testing but when you've got a whole bunch of devices trying to use the same spectrum space the floor comes up and eventually communication becomes unreliable. This doesn't matter that much unless you're using the link for real time control -- model aircraft (for example) have strict real time control needs and drop outs are leading to crashes from unpredictable loss of control situations. I went through all this rigmarole with WiFi development. Marketing continually pushed engineers to push the boundaries of what the technology could do. There is, unfortunately, no free lunch with radio. (Try your test on a crowded R/C field, not in the middle of nowhere.....)

I would have added an echo message to be sent every 5 seconds to validate the message is arriving correctly.

Yes, correct. Unfortunately, this is due to regional regulations and restrictions on free giveaways.

Why is India not in the List?
@yaghiyahbrenner8902 Жыл бұрын
@siddheshbhobe5661 Some lazy marketing personal from Silicon is too lazy to fill Paperwork for customs export control. That's the truth these kits are essentially found locally no problem.

It's disappointing that they won't send it to me in New Zealand. :-(
