This is my favorite album of all time. I saw them for the first time when they played a 3 song set at Off the Record in San Diego from New Plastic Ideas and it blew my head off. After that I must’ve seen then ten times and they never disappointed.

Now I gotta play along with the bass part! The closest Justin has to a Jazzmaster is a Univox Mosrite, but he didn't grab that until The Future of What, I think. P90 tone!

In that video Justin is so out of tune he doesn't care. Looks like he had to borrow a Marshall 100watt half stack that day over his Sunn concert lead and 2x15 cab. Never got to hear Unwound play this song live out of all times I saw em, so looks like I didn't miss much.

This song is always a gas to play on guitar. Even in E standard, I wouldn't think he was into that but cool. I love adding more dissonant and droney chords along to the original version makes the song a dark atonal trip. Prolly fave song off fave Unwound lp. Nice.

@@luccacassandra that is a 100 watt super not the 50watt late 70s JMP master volume w/ plastic rocker switches he started using after. Sounded completely different due to el-34 dirty tone and no reverb yet same 2x15 cab. He even borrowed a Soldano half stack later w/ reverb box for later shows . Last tour for solo record he had Sound City 30 watt I believe. His whole tone is about boosting amp w/ mxr boost or EHX linear power boost and occasional phase or trem pedal. The tape echo he used to have was a legend. You can hear it in this songs oscillations.
