I'm stoked that other people also fantasize about hiding from monsters and enjoying that weird mid-point between fear and relaxation.

What? .. No! No! .... The tent is the first place they would look. You don't understand!
@Dice-ZАй бұрын
@@RachDarastrix2 Nonsense, any place designed to feel chill, that you're relaxing and chilling at, like being comfy under covers, instantly puts up a magic barrier that wards off evil and turns even this tent into a safe zone. Besides, they are attracted to your fear.

Seattle has just gone crazy. Even going down the freeways is no longer safe. We managed to make it past the road blocks and worked our way up north. If we can dig into the frozen tundras before winter, nobody can get to us. But then we ran into some people who came back from the border. They said the road is blocked and nobody is getting through. The hordes are slowly catching up. We can't go north, we can't go south, now what?? We rummaged through some of the abandoned houses by the coast and found some supplies. A little boat with outboard, some gas, tarp, an old wood stove, oil lamps. Gabby told me about this place called Lummi Island. It has lots of wildlife and is within range of our little boat. We lugged the boat into the water and did several cargo trips. We ended up making four trips to bring all the supplies there. Thank goodness for hoarders who panicked and left all their stuff behind. We should have enough to make it through the winter. I did the last 2 trips by myself while Gabby is setting up the tent and getting a fire going. On the last trip the sea was getting really rough, I barely made it. We only had 2-3 hours of sleep in the last few days. Exhausted, sore, cold, you lay down by the fire. The warmth relaxes your body and you doze off to sleep..

"We finally gave in and decided to set up camp. The weather was slowing us down and we risk getting hurt out here if we're not careful. D is on watch, but I can't sleep. They're out there and I don't want to end up like the other group we found today. Their bodies mangled and disfigured. Horrible ways to die. That won't be me." Another amazing video! Love these so much 🥰

As someone who grew up in the North , and spent many hours in our 100+ year old home huddling with a cast iron wood stove , that plinking sound of the stove heating up is sooo soothing.. I remember this one winter when I was 6 or 7 years old, the ice was starting to grow on the lake and as kids we always wanted to go try it. We'd sink through in one spot, go home, get some dry clothes, warm up by said woodstove, and head back out, try a different spot. Eventually all the chairs in the house were in a circle around the stove with clothes drying over the backrest, and I had no more dry clothes, so my dad told me to stop doing that. Boohoo. I'm thinking nowadays people would be totally tripping at the thought of children that age going on a lake with unsafe ice. But when you do stuff like that all the time you get pretty good at making a judgment call, not going too far from the shore so you can still reach the bottom. Here's an idea... You are hiding in the attic with the lights off, looking out through a slightly ajar window on the streets below where zombies roam and fill the night air with their low growls. You have warm blankets over your head and a stockpile of food next to you. You can see fires in the distance and hear faint screams, glass breaking, and intermittent pistol shots.

Someone else came up with this idea; maybe have a family sleeping safely in a bunker, while zombies can’t get to them? Gives a sense of security.

Yeah, it's on my to-do list 👍
@Caporegime184 ай бұрын
Honestly I would mind listening something like that except more of a windy blizzard rather then a thunderstorm. I always found it oddly sleep-inducing to imagine being in a bunker/castle/citadel that while I can hear the snow blowing hard around the zombie moans, the stone or steel walls will keep anything out...except the cold lol.

Well, at Marc's insistence, we set up camp for the night. His theory is that since those things are focusing on the urban centers, they're ignoring the wilderness. Tanner is exhausted from having to escape the hospital so I can't blame him from wanting shut eye first. Jacob somehow still has energy so he's willing to stand watch first. And poor Anna is still trying to grasp what's happening. We haven't heard anything that sounds like those creatures are here so Marc just might be correct, but what the hell are we gonna do long term? Just wait this thing out in the woods?

1 part Jack Daniels, 1 part Ghost Energy. I'll be pissing all night, but I won't be falling asleep. And that's half the battle. To hear the monsters roar, maybe it's the Jack Daniels talkin', but I'd like to go out there and shut them up. Instead of just surviving. I wanna end the invasion. Or die trying. Anything but living in fear.
