All shoe makers should let you do unboxings. Becuase it was the original unboxing on this model that convinced me to buy these shoes. And I am not a fan of double monks. I think they look too bulky and conservative. Your description of "aggressive" is spot on. Just different enough.... I really like that the strap across the ankle is just a bit thinner than a typical monk. It works with the design. And because the shoes are handmade, you get to choose many facets of the shoe. My Gurka double monk in a purple patina was shipped yesterday and I will have it mid next week. I can't wait.
