It still amazes me how old these planes can be that are still in use. UPS 29 years old. Other ones 30, 25 ect. They must really do great maintenance on them to have them last so long. Don't they do a makeover to the engines every so many miles? Thanks Capt.

Hey captain, thought I’d let you know for about the next month delta is sending a a330 to Tampa from Atlanta as DL1227. Gets into TPA around 10AM and then heads back to Atlanta around 11:30AM!

Captain I knew that united airlines was getting rid of most of their 757-200S they are keeping the 757-300S captain because they are newer than the other version captain but united airlines is definitely replacing the 757S with the A321-XLR and the A321-271NX captain the reason being is that it a better flying range and similar seating capacity captain but also it will do the same job as the 757 has done united airlines but delta airlines isn’t considering buying the A321-XLR captain and I am not sure why captain because the 737-M1000 doesn’t have the flying range or the seating capacity and it’s looking likely it won’t certified to fly passengers captain so delta airlines is going to have rethink their planes for replacing the 757S captain

Not too many they have low cycles and hours they were bought factory fresh they theoretically can last another 37 years before they cycle or time out. Delta has 757’s from early 1990’s and they haven’t cycled out

Captain the last off the MD11S were built in the late 1990S and they were the cargo planes so they should be good to fly for another few years captain as long as they maintained the same way that UPS does there MD11 planes captain and the with FEDX MD11S captain and FEDX has more of them in their fleet captain so they will probably keep them flying until they find something that will work for them captain

Captain just to let you know that united airlines has only ordered 50 of the A321-XLR so they can’t get rid of all of their 757S especially when their new planes won’t be arriving until December 2025 captain but they are replacing all of their 25 year old 757S and planes older than that captain but they are keeping their 767-300S and the 767-400S it will be one of the few Boeing planes that they will have in their fleet apart from the 787S and united airlines hasn’t ordered anymore off them the reason being is that they are going to order the A350-900 ultra long range and the A350-1050 ultra long range this will replace all their 777S captain
